Seventeen-year-old, Jane Carly was dressed and ready. Today she was going to the county fair with her best friends, Stacey Carmin and Julia Straits. This was the part of the year she was looking forward to the most. After her mother showed her an old movie called, "State Fair", Jane was so sure that the scenario in the movie could also happen to her too. Except this time, she was only allowed one day.
She heard a car pull up outside her home. She grabbed her purse and sunglasses and ran outside while shouting goodbye to her family.
"Bye honey! Have fun! Be back by 11:00 tonight!" her mom called.
Jane climbed into the back seat of Stacey's car and they were off.
"So, what do you hope to do this time guys?" Jane asked.
"I wanna see the gardens! I hear they are gonna be gorgeous this year," answered Julia. Julia was a calm, but wise 16-year-old who loved botanical anything.
"Well I am going on the fastest rollercoaster. I need a few thrills in my life right now, since it IS senior year," The 18-year-old Stacey chuckled, "How 'bout you JJ?"
"I want to have a one-day romance!" 17-year-old Jane was a very romantic person and her friends knew that, but they couldn't help feeling worried about her.
"I don't know about that Jane. It could be dangerous. And don't you think you would suffer from a broken heart *sigh*" said Julia dramatically
Stacey laughed, "Yeah, I'm not sure how wise that is J."
Jane blushed feeling foolish for even mentioning it, "Yeah I guess so." She replied, trying to sound as convincing as possible. Yet inside her, she knew what she wanted and wouldn't let it go.

They arrived at the fair at 10:00 AM, showed the ticket taker their preordered tickets, and skipped inside. Jane ran to the courtyard and dramatically spun around.
Stacey laughed, "Jane, what do you think this is? A Disney movie?"
"It COULD be!" Jane teased back.
At that time, a high school group from Oregon had entered the fair. This was the first field trip of the school year for them and there were three friends who wanted it to be exciting.
Devon was the first of his friends to turn 18 and he was a class clown, always cracking jokes. Alexander was 17 and an adventurous lad with a flirty side to him. And then there was Casper. He was three months older then Xander, at 17 and was a risky daredevil. He could be nice if he wanted, but most of the time, he was sarcastic. His friends nicknamed him Ghost because... well... CASPER!
And because, he never got caught and never got in trouble for his crazy stunts. It was like he was a ghost.
As Casper balanced a water bottle on his head, (with Xander about to slap it off), Devon called them.
"Hey guys! Teach says we can split up into groups, but we have to be back here in the square at 10:00 PM to ride back to the hotels. Every minute we go over, we have to pay a dollar to the teachers. So that means NO CRAZY IDEAS. Got that Cas?"
"Aw c'mon Devon. I never get caught anyway. So can't make any promises, sorry," Casper said as he smiled. Devon looked at him with a skeptical expression.
"Alright! What first?" Xander asked.
"I say we find the fastest rollercoaster here! Let's start the day with speed!" said Devon.
"Cheesy, but a good idea Dev," agreed Casper.
"Let's go," said Xander.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Alright girls!" Jane said, "What first?"
"Can we do the rollercoaster first? It'll be a good way to kick off the day and we haven't eaten or anything so no one will barf. And afterwards we'll do a few more rides, eat, and take a look at those gardens that Jules is so crazy about."
Julia gasped, "Good Plan!"
"Ok, let's go," Jane agreed and they headed for the ride area.
(walking time passes)
"There it is! That right there is what I'VE been waiting for!" Stacey shouted as they turned the corner. All three girls were staring at the largest rollercoaster at the fair. It actually wasn't much, but being the biggest at that specific fair brought a lot of attention to itself.
"The Galaxy," said Stacey proudly, "let's get the tickets!" They walked up to the ticket booth, "3 BUCKS A TICKET! That's robbery!"
"Don't worry, I got this," stated Jane. She walked up to the young ticket taker and smiled a pretty smile, "Why hello there. I was wondering," she said whilst batting her eyes, "if you would let me and my little friends on the ride?"
"Well... uh... I" said the startled young man.
"Oh, your eyes are simply enchanting! You must get SO MUCH attention." Stacey and Julia snickered. Gathering his words, the ticket taker layed down the law, "Sorry miss, no ticket, no entrance."
Jane fake pouted, "Pretty please?" the employee shook his head, "Sorry."
Jane walked back to her friends, "Well, I tried."
"How did you gather enough courage to do THAT!" Julia said wide-eyed.
"It wasn't easy," Jane frowned.
"Brilliant performance!" came a voice behind them. The girls turned to see three male teens clapping.
"Bravo!" said a handsome African American with sparkling brown eyes. Julia grinned.
"Broadway worthy!" said a tall one with curly blonde hair and light green eyes. Stacey giggled.
"I just don't see why he DIDN'T let you in," said a brunette with a simple casual hairstyle under a backwards baseball cap and deep blue eyes. Jane couldn't stop staring.
"Of course we have to reward you for that brilliant show," said curly blonde hair dude, "and what better way to do so then buying you the tickets you so desperately wanted."
Julia was the first one to respond, "What! Oh no! We couldn't let you do that. We'll just buy our own."
"No no no," he said quickly with a fake British accent and gentlemanly stature, "that will never do. I insist we buy tickets AND you must ride with us as out guests."
"But-" Julia started, but was cut off by Stacey who gently nudged her, "Julia! Don't be rude! If they want to buy us tickets like nice gentlemen, we should let them," Stacey said looking at Julia with a sly smile and raised her eyebrows. Julia blushed, although uncomfortable. Jane snuck up behind her and held her arm, "Don't worry," she whispered, "We'll be careful."
Julia sighed and smiled at Jane, "Okay then."
Blue Eyes snickered, "It's too late anyway. He's already bought the tickets," and he pointed behind them. All three girls turned to see the curly blonde haired boy holding out three tickets to them, "Are we going to waste any more time?"
The girls cautiously took the tiny pieces of card stock and followed the boys up the ramp to the short line. The curly haired boy gave the ticket taker his ticket and said, "You missed your chance bro," then he grabbed Stacey's arm and pulled her with him. She threw her ticket to the employee and raced with Curly Hair, laughing. The rest gave the boy their tickets and got in line with the other two.
