The County Fair (pt. 3)

The horses finished and everyone filed out of the building. The band of teens (now reunited) walked with the flow of the crowd.

"What now?" Jane asked.

"WOW! I know what I wanna do!" Ghost said looking towards the sky.

"The bungee jumping?" Jane asked.

"You wanna do it too? Alright, let's go!" 

"WAIT! WHAT?" I Never Said-AHH!" Jane exclaimed as she was pulled by Ghost towards the large tower in the sky. The rest of the group laughed and followed them. Stacey and Julia hung behind, 

"So, he gave you flowers?"

Julia smiled, "Yep, he gave me the jasmine I loved so much."

"THAT IS SO CUTE! Tell me the whole story!"

FLASHBACK: 

"Julia! Julia!" 

Julia turned when she heard her name. Xander was running toward her with something in his hand. The closer he got, the more she realized that he was holding the flowers she liked. She smiled her biggest and prettiest smile. 

He ran up panting and grinned, "I know...*breathes* this is kinda strange *breathes* but I gotcha these," and he held up the jasmine.

Julia sighed, "They're beautiful! Is this a sincere gesture or just one of your flirtacious schemes?"

Xander laughed nervously, "What're you talking about?"

"I saw what you did at the rollercoaster. You asked Jane to go with you just to make Ghost jealous," she said crossing her arms.

'Well... hehehe, okay you got me. But that was all in fun. This-"

"AND," Julia continued, "When you called... or at least wanted to call me gorgeous before you fell in the gardens."

"Okay, okay, okay. I understand. But this is DEFINITELY sincere."

"How so?"

"Well, it's a THANK YOU for helping me up and it's a little reminder of how amazing you are."

"I am?"

Xander laughed, "Is that a joke? You're incredible! You're pretty and REALLY nice and genuinely happy!" then he stopped and noticed what he had said. A faint red crept up into his dark cheeks, "Sorry, that must have been WAAAAY to forward." 

He felt a soft pressure on his cheek as Julia kissed him, "Thank you," she added, a blush creeping into her own cheeks. He reached down and grabbed her hand, "Let's go find the others," he said with an honest smile.

END OF FLASHBACK

"AHHHHHH! THAT'S SO CUTE! Jules! Oh my gosh!"

Xander and Devon turned to all the commotion, "What's going on?"

"Xander! That's so romantic! Now take good care of Julia! If you hurt her, I'll CRUSH you!"

"STACEY!" Julia said, appalled.The boys laughed, "C'mon," said Devon, "We'll miss the bungee jumping!"

They took their seats just as Ghost was climbing a tall ladder. He got strapped on and went to the edge.

"Yeah Ghost! WOO HOO! You got this man!" Devon, Xander, and Stacey shouted. Julia just watched in fear.

"Heck Yeah!" came the reply. Ghost exchanged signals with the man on the ground. Then he jumped off. Ghost flipped and turned while bouncing up and down before being lowered to the ground. The group clapped and cheered while Ghost was getting told off by an employee for doing so many stunts. Ghost smiled the whole time, thanked the man, and walked to the bleachers proud as a peacock.
