Early in the morning, we landed in Rome. On the way here, I told Ricky that I have family in Rome and that we are welcomed to stay with them. Ricky immediately didn't want to stay because he thinks he will bother them and of course, I tried to convince him that he won't, but he booked a hotel room anyways.
I told my aunt Amelia that I will be arriving in a few minutes. She sounds so excited, especially my cousins that stay there. That house is always full. I look at Ricky, who looks tired. Did he get any sleep?
"Did you get any sleep?"
"Not really. I got distracted by a lot of things."
"Like what?" I raise an eyebrow.
"Uh," He shakes his head. "It's nothing."
In matter of seconds, we pull up in front of big black gates, making the place intimidating. I punch in the code Amelia told me to and the gates slowly open, as Ricky drives through.
"The mansions here are so much better." Ricky comments.
When he stops in front of the mansion, my family is already waiting up on the steps. Before getting out, I turn to look at Ricky. "Why don't you stay here? Stay for dinner at least."
"I will come later," He smiles. "My brother is in town."
"Oh okay," I sigh. "I will see you later."
After getting my bags, he drives off, and my family gathered around me, asking millions of sessions. My four cousins, Edith, Larry, Nick, are around the age 16-18. Elliot (she's a girl, by the way) is my second best friend. I love her to death, but you want to know something? Nick, (my eighteen year old cousin), they are dating. No one knows except me, but if Nick was your cousin, I think you would want to jump his skin.
Nick only lives with my aunt Amelia because of Elliot, of course. I would expect him to buy his own place since he owns a billionaire company, but it would suspicious if he bought his own place and Elliot moved in with him. I don't know when they are going to tell everyone because they kept this up for eight or nine months now. In my opinion, they make such a cute couple, though.
Larry on the other hand likes me. I have told him in the nicest way possible that I don't like him and that it's wrong, right, but what does he do? He has tried to kiss me, even touch me, but thanking god, I have gotten the chance to get away from him. At the moment, he isn't really talking or looking at, which makes me feel okay.
"I'm going to make dinner! Be prepared to be stuffed, Brooklyn!" Amelia kisses me on the cheek. "Oh your uncle will be back in a hour and half." Amelia goes off into the house, disappearing down the hall, that leads to the kitchen.
Elliot and Nick lead me upstairs. "How is the relationship with Ricky?" Of course Elliot is the first one to ask.
Is it even safe to call it a relationship? We really haven't talked about it, but hell, I'm not the one who is going to ask either. I wouldn't like to scare Ricky off, either.
"It's not really a relationship," I sigh. "I don't know. It's confusing. How about you guys?"
"Great!" Elliot smiles as we stand in front of the guest bedroom. We all enter the bedroom and step out onto the balcony. "Nick, would you like to tell her?"
"Um okay," He smiles. "We're engaged!"
"Engaged!" I yell, giving them both hugs. This is great. My terribly loud scream didn't go unnoticed, though. Amelia rushes into the room with a worried look on her face.
