They walked behind Clarke and Finn, who led them chattering to themselves.
Octavia pulled Clarke to her, "I called him."
"You can have him" Clarke said puffing out a breath of irritation.
She walked forward to get away from Octavia.
They walked in pairs. Clarke & Finn leading the way, Jasper & Monty following behind them and Murphy & Octavia walking behind them by default.
"So why do you listen to my brother?" Octavia said studying Murphy.
He looked to the ground. "We have a deal."
"And what's that?" She asked.
"I can't" he said looking apologetically at her.
"I won't tell" she smiled.
He sighed and decided it wouldn't hurt anything.
"I help him keep the rest of the arc from coming down and I get a little bit of power too"
"Really?" Octavia asked incredibly.
"What?" He looked toward her.
"That's so lame. I thought it was worse' she chuckled.
"It's not lame" he said with mock hurt on his face.
She smiled.
"Sorry I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I guess I didn't know you we're that sensitive" she shrugged and covered her smile.
"Ha. Sensitive?" He smiled at her.
"Yeah-" she ran into Monty and Murphy stopped short of running into Jasper.
"Water" Finn said smiling.
"Don't drink it, there could be radiation poisoning" Clarke said but stopped in defeat as everyone was running toward the water.
"It's just water" Finn smiled.
Octavia took off her shirt drawing everyone's attention. She took off her pants and turned her head to the group and smiled.
She turned and jumped into the water. Murphy smiled to himself.
"Octavia! Don't!" Clarke shouted but Octavia was already in the air. They all rushed to the shore and Octavia's head popped up from the surface.
"How did you learn to swim?" Clarke asked.
"I didn't." Octavia said standing to show how shallow the water really was.
"Come on in, the waters fine" Octavia says moving further into the water.
"You don't have to ask me twice" Jasper said taking off his shirt.
Murphy looked to Jasper with disgust. He looked back to Octavia to see her eyes already on him.
She gestured for him to come in.
Then a creature began swimming toward Octavia at an extremely fast pace.
"Octavia!" Murphy shouted noticing the creature.
Octavia tried to run to the shore but the water slowed her down. Murphy ran towards her too. Everyone else was struck dumb by the creature.
Murphy didn't make it to her before the thing did. It pulled her underneath the water but that didn't slow Murphy's pace.
He ran to where he last seen her and dived under.
He felt skin he gabbed at it trying to pull upward. He struggled but continued, gasping for air. He never learned to swim.
He was cold and scared under the water but it didn't break his concentration.
Finally he broke the surface still pulling at the skin. Pulling harder he yanked Octavia above the surface.
The creature swam away before Murphy could kick it.
He swam toward the shore pulling Octavia behind him. He dragged her unconscious body onto the shore behind him. He dropped to her side and pushed on her chest. He plugged her nose and blew into her mouth.
She coughed up water and gagged, Murphy turned her on her side.
Clarke ran over to the two.
"Octavia, you're hurt" she said clutching Octavia's leg.
"We need to stop the bleeding" Clarke said ripping a piece of Murphy's shirt before he could protest and wrapped it around Octavia's thigh to act as a tourniquet.
Octavia reached her arm up to hold Murphy's arm. He looked at her but she was looking at her wound.
"Does it hurt?" Clarke asked.
"No, it feels awesome." Octavia said sarcastically and winced.
They decided it wasn't a good idea to go on with Octavia wounded.
Finding water was a good accomplishment for the day and they would retry another day.
Finn, Clarke, Jasper, and Monty began filling their canisters with as much water as possible.
Octavia hadn't let go of Murphy and he hadn't said anything, of course he'd rather sit with Octavia instead of crouching down to fill up canisters.
"Hey, Murphy?" she said looking up at him.
"Yeah?" he looked down at her.
"Thanks for saving me."
"Oh. No problem." He said surprised she thanked him.
"I know you did it for Bellamy, but I'm still alive so I'm grateful he made you come."
He stared at her for a few seconds, contemplating on what to say.
"Uh, yeah. I- well I would've done it regardless of Bellamy." he responded this time she was surprised.
The others finished filling the bottles and began standing.
"Let's go" Jasper said light-heartedly.
"How are we getting Octavia back to camp?" Clarke asked.
Octavia looked to Murphy.
"I'll carry her" Murphy said beginning to stand.
"I'll help" Jasper said walking towards the two.
Before he reached them Murphy had already gathered Octavia in his arms. She wrapped her arm around his neck and smiled up at him.
"No need" Murphy stated the obvious.
They began the trek back to camp. No one really spoke.

When they could finally see camp it was getting dark.
The others, seeing Clark's blonde hair first, walked towards the tree-line.
Bellamy in the front.
"Where's Octavia?" He said as the group dispersed showing Murphy carrying a sleeping Octavia.
"What happened to her? is she okay?" Bellamy said rushing forward and yanking Octavia out of Murphy's arms.
"She's fine. She got attacked in a river by something but the bleeding already stopped and she'll be able to walk within the next two days." Clarke said re-examining her leg.
"Unless infection sets in, but that's a problem for a different day" Finn said walking past the group to the fire.
Murphy began following him but Bellamy stopped him by putting his free hand on Murphy's shoulder.
"Hey, thank you for watching out for her." He said genuinely.
"Yeah" Murphy shook his head and walked the rest of the way to the fire.
