The next day the camp bristled about. People scavenging, building the wall, or talking to their friends.
Murphy stepped out of the drop ship and had to cover his eyes from the sun.
He yawned and stretched before walking off to go find food.
Before he reached the food shelter a small girl stepped in front of him.
"Oh, hi Anna" he said trying to walk around her, but she stepped in front of him.
"You know you're a hero, right? I mean what you did for Octavia was amazing." She said smiling at him.
"Uh, thanks" he said trying to move her out of the way again.
"I was thinking, maybe you could save me next?" She said running her finger down his chest.
He grabbed her wrist before she could move farther.
"Sorry, but I have to go get food" he said slightly shoving her to get away from her.
"Hey, what happened back there?" Octavia said limping toward him.
"Um, she just wanted to know where the water was" he shrugged.
"Ok...? anyway I was thinking maybe me and you should go back to that river." Murphy snapped his head up at that.
"I'm kidding" Octavia smiled and put her hands up in surrender. He turned and kept going through the nutrition packets.
"But we could go hunting or something. Protein paste isn't going to fill you up, you know."
"I might go hunting but you'd stay here" he said handing her a protein packet.
"What? why?" she said opening the packet.
"First, Bellamy would kick my ass if anything happened to you. Second, you're already injured and would probably just slow me down." He said beginning to walk away to find a log to sit on.
"I will no--" Octavia slipped in a hole and Murphy caught her just in time before her face could hit the ground.
"You wouldn't slow me down?" Murphy said sarcastically helping her back on her feet.
"Ok, maybe, but we won't know until we try" Octavia said wincing a little.
"You ripped the stitches in your leg didn't you?" Murphy said stepping closer to look at her leg.
He ripped a piece of his shirt and rewrapped it around her leg tightly.
"You have to go to Clarke so she can fix that" he said starting to walk.
He turned to see she wasn't following him but was looking at her wound.
"It hurts more than the first time" she gasped.
Murphy walked towards her.
"Sorry" he said and picked her up, and she cried out in pain.
"Ughh" she groaned.
"I said sorry" Murphy said smiling at her. She hit his arm and tried to smile back.
*******
"It should be fine" Clarke said finishing the last stitch."Just no more strenuous activities." She said looking up at Octavia.
"So she can't go hunting?" Murphy asked with mock shock.
Octavia glared at him.
"No, that's probably not a good idea"
"Alright I just wanted to clarify" Murphy says leaning against the wall.
