Chapter 3

Niall's heavenly laugh continues to fill the house as he leads me to a room upstairs.

"We don't have a guest room like most people but you can sleep in my room. I'll just sleep downstairs."

"No, don't be silly. I'll just sleep on the floor."

"I'll sleep on the floor and you on the bed. Deal?"

"Okay." I love how cheerful he is. You can see it in his eyes and hear it in his voice. I can't help but smile at how generous he is being. He's not at all what I thought he'd be like.

"What's so funny?"

"You're not the same as most people. You're different."

"Is that good or..."

"Of course it's good!"

"Good."

"We've just established that, haha."

"Well we haven't established everything yet. I don't know anything about you. What's your name?"

"Diana Harrow."

"That's a lovely name. I'm Niall Horan. Welcome to my used-to-be man cave."

"What is it now?"

"It's more of a unisex cave now. A good smelling unisex cave." I blush at his indirect compliment.

"He's so cute." Holy shit. Did I just say that out loud?! My chin basically drops to the floor in realization.

"Thank you, Diana." His cheeks flush and he tries to fight a smile. He shoves his hands into his pockets and leans back and forth on his heels. He looks to the ground and his eyes travel up to mine. Oh god he's trying to murder me mentally. His blue eyes dilate until nothing is left but a blue ring around his pupil. If looks could kill...I'd be dead with no regrets.

"So, Diana."

"Yeah?"

"I was wondering if you wanted to grab something to eat. You're probably hungry and I'm hungry and there's probably a good restaurant and we both like food. I mean I'm assuming you do? You do don't you?"

"Yes, Niall," I giggle. He's even more adorable when he's nervous. He's just so shy and vulnerable.

"Where do you want to go?" He asks me.

"Anywhere you want."

"There's a Nandos close by. You like?"

"Are you kidding? I love Nandos!"

"Great! Let's go. On the way I need to stop by a friend's house."

"Sure no problem."
