Chapter 4

   The next day I woke up a bit confused. Wait never mind... I realized where I was. On our couch. Gosh what a night I thought.

   "Hmm... Sleep okay?!?"

   "Wait what? Nick?" I asked while scratching my head.

   "I'd sure hope you slept well! Considering you were cuddling with JACOB!"

   "What, no! I was just editing a video me and Jacob shot yesterday."

   "That's what they all say... But you're off the hook for this one... Next one, you're not!"

   I quickly went upstairs to avoid hearing Nick keep the argument going. Let's see... What should I wear... I pulled out a pair of ripped shorts, a tie dye shirt, and dark blue converse. I grabbed my phone, some bracelets, my wallet, and a pair of of sunglasses. then quickly brushed my hair.

   "Great talk, see ya Nick!" I called out from the door.

I quickly shut the door so I wouldn't hear Nick's voice. What a relief I thought. Wow, the morning was so beautiful, and it was only 9:00 am. I snook in our backyard to grab Oreo and his leash.

   "Come on boy. Let's for for a walk."

   The sound of his barking made me happy. As I started to head toward the front, I heard Jacob's voice. Come on come on! Hurry up Oreo! I thought. When we finally reached the front, Jacob was with his dog... On their front porch... Not again... Maybe if I use my phone he won't notice... Oops, shnitzel, too late... He looked up from his phone... And smiled at me...

   "Hey," He said while looking up from his phone and grabbing the leashes on both dogs.

   "Hey yourself."

   "What's his name?"

   "Oreo."

   "Cool."

   Uh oh... I couldn't believe I was actually gonna say this...

   "Wanna walk our dogs together?"

   "Yeah. I'd like that."

   "Great. Oh and hey, there's a gas station near by, when we get close, wanna stop by? On me. Oh and you can pay me back by telling me the pass to your phone. Nah I'm just-"

   "Sure. It's 25780."

   "Wow, I was actually just joking, but okay!" I said while laughing.

   "Anything for a friend."

   I lead the way to my normal route. Every now and then, one of our dogs would stop and chase something. I loved getting to spend more time with him. I felt as if the more time I spend with him... The more I started to like him... Wait... Uh oh... I can't like him! That's just gross! Ew!

   Bree, keep it cool. Keep it cool! I just can't sustain myself! Then something interrupted my thinking...

   "Earth to Bree!" Jacob said while waving a hand to me.

   "I'm sorry, what'd you say?"

   But Jacob didn't answer, he just pointed. My eyes followed to where he was pointing, and there I saw it. Our dogs were licking one another. The sight of that made me laugh. No wonder the leash kept going in crazy directions. Gosh, I do so much thinking now that Jacob is here...

   "Awe, aren't they cutest things?" I asked... Wait, was I thinking, I felt as if that question reminded me of a married couple.

   "Yeah, they sure are."
