I just arrived at Starbucks, getting out of Maggie's car and running inside. She dropped me off because I don't have my own car..

I need one desparately, because of things like this but I can't really afford it on my own.

Plus my parents barely let me out if the house now as it is. When I leave for school, they'll probably think I'm plotting to run away. Which wouldn't happen.

I'd have no where to go, plus I have Dylan. It's a bad idea anyway..

I grabbed hold of the handle on the door, and walked threw it. I took a huge whiff and put a smile on my face. I'm obsessed with the way this place smells. It's like I just walked into paradise.

I spotted Jason over in the back table, looking down at his phone. I smiled and started walking to him. He looked up at me and smiled, showing his perfect white teeth.

"Hey." He hopped up and hugged me. I returned the hug, a little taken back by his actions.

"Hey!" I smiled "I'm sorry I'm late, my friend drove me and-"

"Don't appoligize." He told me sweetly. "I was a little early anyway." He took a seat, and I sat across from him. I placed my purse in the chair next to me. "I'll go get us some drinks" He offered before getting up and asking what I like. I told him everything and he laughed. He is so cute when he laughs!

My phone made a 'ding' sound, which means I have a text. I looked down at it and it was from.. Kristen? What? She never texts me. I didn't know she had my number..

'Hey girl! How's your 'date'?' -Kristen

What's with the 'date' thing? She is the oddest person I know.

'Fine.. He is so cute!!' I texted. I never talk to her like this, but I just can't help it. This guy makes me do crazy things.

Ok Niki, you need to slow down! It's just coffee! I remind myself.

He returns with a Lotté for him, and a hot chocolate for me.

"So" He started "Tell me something about yourself." He smiled and propped himself on the table with his elbows.

"Well, I'm one of the most popular girls at school, and I'm known for my good grades." Was all I could think of.

"Oh." He said suddenly uninterested. What? Did I really just say that? What is wrong with me?

I tried to think of something else to say, but I realized that's all I've got. That's all I've got going for me. Nothing interesting, it just makes me sound like a total snob.

"I have another question" He said, trying to change the subject.

"Ask away." I smiled. He looked at me as if what I did was just awkward. What did I do?

Oh yeah.. I just confessed my pathetic life to him.

"Your friend," He started "Kristen, Is she single?" He smiled hopfully. Wow. That hurt.

"Uhm.. Yeah I think.. Why?"

"I don't know." He chuckled "She's been texting me ever since I got here and I find her fasinating." Excuse me? You mean to tell me that, my 'friend' just texted me and asked how the date was going, when she was texting him the whole time?! What the heck?!

"What did you two talk about?" I asked nervously. I don't know why I asked. I know he wont tell me.

"Here." He handed me his phone to look at the texts between them two. Did he really just do that?

I jumped at the chance to look at his phone, and I grabbed in from his hand.

My mouth began to gape open as I read everything she told him. How could she do this to me?
