Chapter 10 Natsu

'Im gonna do it. I'll be his girl. And it's all going to be OK.' I thought as I stood up and opened the closet door.

'I want to live with that amazing salmon color haired weirdo. I want to wake up in his arms. I want to make him smile.' I thought, taking another deep breath and walking out to the living room where everyone once was. I calmly sat down on the couch, waiting to be found. It wasn't long before the soon-to-be love of my life walked in.

"Hey guys, She's in here!" Natsu said, taking a seat next to me.

"Now what was that all about, princess?" The flame brain said, pulling my chin up to look him in the eyes. Those golden eyes. The pools of pure goodness.

'WAIT WHAT. PRINCESS? I'm not... I mean... I... Ummmm' I thought as my face flushed for what seemed like the millionth time today.

"I.... I got flustered, that's all. You would be too if you just had five guys confess their undying love for you. But I guess it all worked out in my favor since I learned you like me. Well guess what lover boy," I said, getting closer to his perfect face.

"I like you too." I said, mustering the courage to kiss him on the cheek. But of course like all romance stories, You want me to say he turned his head so it wasn't a cheek kiss, but a full on french. And I would. But that's not what happened.

{FEELS WARNING}

"(Y-Y/n), I... I thought.... But you... I mean we.." A voice I know all too well came stuttering from behind me. I turned to face my meister. Tears rolled down his cheeks as he turned to leave.

"Go be happy," He said

"That's all I ever wanted for you. To be happy. I... I just wanted to be the one to make it happen." He said, turning away from me.

"Hiro, I-"

"Don't. You only did it to make me shut up. I get it. I'm gonna go. Maybe find a place i'm wanted." Hiro darted out the door, leaving nothing but me behind.

'What have I done?' I thought as I tried to run after him. I got about as far as the door before I slipped and fell on my face.

'Smooth, (Y/n).' I stumbled to my feet, but I was already too late. He was gone. Along with a piece of my heart. I hadn't realized the crowd of people until I tried to go back inside and was greeted with confused faces of everyone. I took another deep breath.

'Think this through, now. I want to be Natsu's girl, but I don't want to hurt anyone. Especially not my best friend. And he seems to be the one iv'e hurt the most. Great. And I haven't even said anything to anyone else yet. Betchya ten bucks they were listening the whole damn time though. Take another breath, (y/n).' I thought inhaling one more time before facing the mess at hand.

"Everyone, sit down. I have to say something." I took a seat back on the couch.

"I understand that a lot of you have a crush on me. And i'm sorry I can only be one person's. I know what just happened may seem strange, but I just unintentionally broke hiro's heart. Now I would like to tell you all now I chose Natsu. But it's not because I hate any of you. It's because of what we went through that made me fall for him. And if you hate me, I understand" I said, knowing I was about to be marauded. Instead, I was taken aback by one big simultaneous 

"We could never hate you."

For the next hour I was showered in compliments and praise. But Hiro still plagued my thoughts.

'I need to fix this. I can't leave him alone right now. He needs me. I have to find him' I thought as I racked my brain as to where he might be. Then it hit me. The house. I know there's nothing but ash there now, but he always felt better in my bedroom. 

'Maybe he went there...' I thought as I ran in the direction of my previous residence.

'Please, hiro. Don't do anything stupid.' I thought as I started to run faster.

After tripping a few times, I finally made it 'home'. Or at least what was left of it. And of course hidden in the ashes of what was approximately once my bedroom sat the blondie I care about so much.

"Hiro," I said as I quietly walked over to where he was huddled over in an almost fetal position.

"What do you want?" he said much colder than I was expecting.

"Hiro, I want to explain myself. And I don't want you to be heart broken. Can I sit with you?" I asked, hoping I haven't fucked up too badly.

"I guess." He said, putting his face in his knees. I sat next to him in the ashes, not caring about my clothes.

"Hiro, you're my best friend. And I know you want to be more than that, but to me, you're just my best friend. I know we kissed and i'm not saying I didn't like it, but my heart is pulling me elsewhere, and if you're not content with being just my best friend, my meister, and even my brother, than I don't know what i'd do. You do make me happy, Hiro. Just maybe not in the way you were expecting. So please come back and keep making me happy, Ok?"

"If that's what you want, then I shall give it to you, my princess." he said, mustering a sad smile.

'WHAT IS WITH ME BEING CALLED PRINCES TODAY?!' I thought, trying to give hiro a reassuring smile.

"Now, please come back with me." I said as I stood up, brushed off the ashes, and offered him my extended hand. Thankfully, he took it. Once we were both on our feet, we made our way back to kid's house. After we made it back, I was questioned like I was a murder suspect. "Where were you?" "What's going on?" "WHo do you choose to be yours?" and don't forget "Would you be alright with a threesome?"

"My old house, I'm not sure myself, Natsu, And that depends..." I tried to answer them all the best I could.

"WEELLL If you all'd excuse me and (y/n) for a moment." Natsu said, pulling me into the nearest empty room.

"(Y/n), since we both know how the other feels, would you maybe do me the honor of being my girlfriend?" He said with an adorable blush and smile.

"Hmm, let me think..." I said tapping my chin. I pulled his chin down to reach mine, knowing what I was doing to him. I smashed our lips together, sealing our future together.

"How's that for a Yes?" I said once we pulled away.

"That's one hell of a yes." He said, running his hands through his adorable fluffy hair.

I gave him a peck on the cheek as we went to go tell the world.
