Life vs Death

You may think that a girl with a sickness falling in love with a boy only happens in movies, well that's what I thought too until it actually happened. This is my story.

I was around 13 years old when my mom took me to the doctor and that's when I got diagnosed with cancer. My mom kept on telling me that it's going to be okay but I knew that eventually I would die. When I was 15 I was told that I was going to be diagnosed with terminal cancer. My mom thinks that I'm a miracle and that I will work through it but when I die I'll be ready.

"Delilah... Hello are you even listening to me" Harley said.
"Sorry what do you say?" I looked down at my lap. I have kept the secret about my sickness from my best friend Harley for a whole 4 years.
He looked at me, " I SAID that you should really be on the track team."
"I can't!" I thought about how much fun it would be if I could run, but it hurts to run.
Harley looked at me for a bit, "We should get to class."
After school I was walking home when Lisa and Kate walked up.
"Well look who it is it's little miss cancer." Lisa said and Kate giggled. "I saw you talking to Harley, now listen because he's mine!" Kate and Lisa walked away with a laugh.
I used to be best friends with Lisa and Kate from kindergarten to grade 6 then they started to call me names and make fun of of me. So now they are like my sworn enemies.
