7 Days before the masquerade...
[Marinette's POV]
"No, not again!" I screamed as I hurriedly ran down the stairs. My dad looked at me confusingly as I grabbed a towel and ran to the bathroom. I hurriedly took a shower, hurriedly ran back to my room, hurriedly changed my clothes and hurriedly went to our bakeshop and grabbed some croissants. "Dad, I'm late again!" I said to my dad who was entertaining a customer.
"Good morning to you too, Miss Cheng." My eyes widened as I heard his voice. I jumped and screamed as I saw Sir Adrien standing in the counter. On the counter was a tray of croissants.
"Err--I--uhh, good morning, s-sir." I replied and cleared my throat. "I'm gonna---go to the office now."
"All right." He replied and I nodded before exiting the bakeshop. I closed the door and I suddenly gulped, before looking back at Sir Adrien that was paying my father the money, then I gasped before running to the Gabriel Brand building.
As I was running halfway. I heard a car that stopped behind me. "Miss Cheng." My eyes widened before looking back and saw Sir Adrien peaking his head from the window.
"S--sir Adrien." I squeaked. Are you going to offer me a ride or something?
"Race ya to the office, if I get there first, you'll be given a punishment, but if you get there first, I won't bother you for the rest of the month." He said and grinned as I frowned. SERIOUSLY?!
"Fine." I said sternly before running again and I heard him laugh. I groaned. "Why is he so rude?!" I mumbled to myself as I saw his car run passed through me. Then, I looked at the time of my phone and realized something.
8 AM means RUSH TRAFFIC!
I chuckled to myself before walking calmly and started whistling. I saw his car stuck on traffic, when he spotted me, I smiled and waved at him before I carry on walking.
[Adrien's POV]
Damnit. I forgot about the 8AM rush traffic. I sighed heavily before looking at the window, there I spotted Dupain-Cheng...waving at me. "This girl is trying to annoy me more." I mumbled as I watched her walking calmly. "That's it." I opened the door.
The gorilla, err, my driver that looked like a gorilla looked at me confusingly. "This traffic is going to kill me." I said before going out and closed the door. The I started running. Meanwhile, I spotted Dupain-Cheng walking. I frowned before running past her.
I heard her gasp and I laughed. "I'm totally going to get there first!" I said and I heard her groan, I heard footsteps so I assume that she is also running.
"Sir Adrien, have you forgotten that I am like this everyday?" She grinned before running past me.
"Whoa." I managed to say before racing her to the company.
