Chapter 5: Mira

After Loki sacrificed himself to the mist, I grabbed a hold of Lucy and dragged her from the cave and the dangerous mist.
"Leo...he...where?" Lucy choked out through her tears.
"I don't kn-" as I was responding, a roar broke through the air. A lion's roar.
Lucy tried to run in after him but I pulled her back. "Running in there will do no good Lucy." I took her by the shoulders led her to the others.
"What happened to Loki?" Cana asked.
I looked at Lucy as Natsu took her. "I believe he may have been turned into an actual lion." There were gasps and murmurs.
"What do we do now? We can't fight the mist and we don't know where it came from." Gray says to me.
"We will do our best to find the source and reverse its effects. Just make at that you under no circumstances touch the mist. We have no idea what it might do to humans. Understood?" Everyone nodded. "Alright, Lucy, you know this place better than anyone. Where do you think would be the best place to start looking?"
She had stopped crying and seemed to be slightly calmer. "The Celestial Spirit King's castle. We need to see if he has been affected and if he knows anything that can help us."
I smile at her and turn to face everyone. "You heard her! To the Spirit King's castle!"
Lucy and Virgo led the way and I stayed at the rear to make sure no one fell into the mist. It had been steadily approaching towards us but so far we had been able to outrun it.

We had almost reached the castle when suddenly the mist races towards us at an unbelievable speed.
"Run!" I shout to everyone. "Get to the castle! Hurry!" We all start running as fast as possible to the castle.
I trip over my dress and before I can get back up, I am engulfed in the mist.
