Felina stared blankly at the team in front of her. More specifically, she stared at the blonde haired boy. She sensed demonic chakra comming from a seal on his stomach. 'He's a jinjuriki, too?' She tough in an unbelieving, mystified tone. A dark chuckle from within her mind answered the question.
"Indeed he is a jinjuriki, but he holds the nine tailed fox. Unlike him, I am not a tailed beast," Zorakuba, the great white wolf demon, stated in a matter of fact tone.
Indeed, Felina was a wielder to a very powerful gem, a soul stone. The soul stone was created when Zorakuba sacrificed his physical form to save Felina's life, and in turn, Felina gained a type of special immortality. It's special because if the wielder is struck down with a fatal blow, they can choose to live, or they can choose to die. Under certain circumstances, the wielder can be killed only by another soul gem with equal or higher power. There are other secrets to the gem too, but they have yet to be discovered.
Felina snapped out of her trance like state as she locked eyes with the blonde, her eyes turning into slits as she saw kyubi's chakra dance in his eyes, longing to be set free.
She glared before turning back towards Tsunade. "Everyone, this is Felina. She will be working with you from now on," She stated before smiling. "Felina, because you are now living here in the Leaf Village, and you have obvious ninja training, take this," Tsunade said as she held out a Leaf headband. Felina nodded politely as she took the headband in her grasp, and she tied it around her neck.
Felina stepped back, and Tsunade introduced her to her new squad. 'So his name is Naruto...interesting. For a jinjuriki, he seems very optimistic,' she thought with a small grimace that didn't go unnoticed by Kakashi, who was watching the newcomer with a curious gaze.
The squad left the Hokage's office, and they arrived at a training area. Kakashi turned towards the three genine and the new squad member. "Alright everyone, before we begin training I'd like to do a small exercise. I'd like each of you to state one thing you like, dilike, and what your goals are," he said with a closed eye smile.
The first to go was the kid named Sasuke. He was very subtle about it, not really saying much, but Felina could tell that there was pain in his heart. She knew this through experience in the field, especially since he was hinting in his goal that he wanted to "take care" of someone.
The second to go was Sakura. Felina could tell right when she began to speak that she liked Sasuke alot. Her goal was typical to Felina, wanting to become a strong ninja.
The third to go was Naruto. He talked about how much he loves ramen and how much he hated to wait for ramen to be cooked. His goal, however, surprised Felina. When he stated that he wanted to become hokage, Felina's eyes widened slightly, but she quickly put back her stoic expression.
Finally, it was Felina's turn to go. She was actually alittle nervous about sharing her thoughts with these people, since she was always very cautious around everyone, especially humans. The reason is unknown by all but her.
"...I like wolves, and I strongly dislike selfishness and greed. As for my goals...I want to protect the innocent and those who can't protect themselves until the day I die," Felina stated in a monotone, stoic voice.
Kakashi smiled slightly under his mask. "That's a very nice goal to have. Well, I think it's about the time we had lunch-" kakashi was saying, but he was interrupted by Naruto, who began excitedly jumping around and talking about the beef ramen he was going to get.
Felina tried not to laugh as Kakashi deadpaned and started to walk towards the exit to the training grounds with the three genine. Felina hesitated slightly and wondered if she was welcome.
"What are you waiting for?! Ichiraku ramen is the best!" Naruto exclaimed abouts he ran to Felina and grabbed her wrist, pulling her towards the restraunt.
Felina was extremely powerful for a 13 year old, but she didn't feel like fighting with the jinjuriki.
Felina sighed and thought 'what have I gotten myself into?' To which Zorakuba chuckled. "Maybe you spent too long in the woods?" He suggested in a playful tone. 'Shut it Zorakuba!' Felina thought in a playfully angered tone.
Felina was feeling something she hasn't felt in a long time in the back of her mind, and that was calmness.
