Sage's POV:

"Mom! Open the god damn door!" I shouted at the wood door that had been slammed in my face. Okay, I get it we shouldn't be skipping school, but this is ridiculous. "Close your eyes." I said directing my voice towards Kyle and making a failing attempt to calm my tone.

"Why do I need to clo--?"

"Just close your eyes, Kyle!" I interupted.

His rolled his perfect eyes then closed them.

"Hold out your hands." I was shaking off my pants as I spoke. "Just hold onto all of this until we get inside okay?" I tossed the rest of my clothes into his hands before changing into my other form.

Kyle's POV:

"Close your eyes!" Sage shrieked at me snatching the clothes out of my hands, he fumbled with his boxers, hoping around like an idiot trying to get them on.

"Not like I haven't seen penis before." I laughed, closing my eyes to amuse him.

"You haven't seen mine!" He objected.

I could still hear him hopping around, trying too hard to put on his pants, as I replied ", But I have come close."

"Kyle!" He shrieked again.

I couldn't hold it in anymore, laughter burst from my throat and my eyes shout open. Sage was standing with his arms folding across his chest. He was glaring at me. I sighed. "I'm sorry babe." I groaned stepping closer to him, laying his t-shirt on the washer. "Forgive me?"

He shook his head and put his bottom lip out.

I smiled and uncrossed his arms, twisted my fingers around his.  "But...I love you?" I whispered, freeing one hand and dragging his face down to mine.

"SAGE!" His mother shrieked as his soft lips touched mine.

He jumped back quickly. His eyes were wide and his face was bright red. I grinned. Damn he's cute when he's embarrassed. I poked his stomach and grinned up at him.

"Out." She mouthed, pointing towards the door.

Sage let out a low growl, grabbed his shirt, and stormed out the door. It slammed shut behind him, knocking several decorations off the wall.

As I was about to follow him out, a voice behind me caught my attention.

"You're going to pay for this you know."

I turned around to face his mother. "Excuse me?"

"You're a monster. You will pay for what you've done to my baby boy, you will rot in the deepest, hottest pit in hell." She spit at me.

If anyone at school ever spoke to me like that they would have a black eye and broken nose, but this is Sage's mother I'm dealing with. The worst and most hatable person in history, or not, I still have to behave kindly to her. "No, I'm sorry, but I don't believe I'm the monster. I'm not the one slowly killing her son, infact at this point I might be the only thing saving yours." With that said I calmly, and quietly walked out the door.

Sage was sitting with his back up against the house and his knees pulled up to his chest. His head was against his knees with his hands over his face. His hair was blocking my view but I could tell from his breathing that he was crying.

I knelt down beside of him and wrapped a strong, comforting arm around him. "It's going to be okay." I whispered.

He brought his hands away from his face and stared at me. His eyes were puffy and red, yet he still appeared beautiful to me.
