I was just peacefully sitting on some rigging, lost in thought while watching the sea sail by. The way the sun danced off of the water may have hurt my eyes, but it sure was mesmerizing.

It was truly wonderful until the girlish screams of Eustace was heard from below deck. Sighing and shaking my head, I started my way down the ropes to see what had spooked him this time.

The ropes bended under my weight, making my trip down much harder than the trip climbing up. Shakily, taking the last step off the rigging and onto the rail of the ship, I stared at my feet just to make sure I didn't step in the wrong direction either way.

Once both of my leather clad feet were firmly planted on the edge, I came to a slight complication. The one piece of hanging rope I would usually use to help get me back onto the floor of the ship was missing.

"Need some help?"

I look up from my feet to see Edmund standing just a few feet away, leaning against a mast, watching me with a smirk on his face.

I narrowed my eyes at him, "No, thanks." I look around at the other possibilities I could use, "I think I'm good." Right as I said that something rocked the ship, forcing me to grip onto the ropes with both hands out of fear of falling overboard. Looking back at Edmund though the small strands of hair that the wind pulled out of my braid, "Yes! Yes, I need help."

He chuckled at my frightened state, "So that's all it took to scare the High Queen of Narnia." He started walking over, shaking his head, "Just a little rock in the boat?"

"No," I said stubbornly. "It's the high risk of two possible outcomes. 1: Falling forward and face planting or 2: Falling overboard, and I'm not really in the mood for a swim." My grip tightening even more.

Ed's hand rested on my leg, "Okay, for me to get you down you have to let go of the ropes."

I nodded my head and loosened my grip just a little, only to feel myself losing the shred of balance I barely had in the first place, "Yeah, nope, nope. Just find me another rope to use."

"Y/N." Ed said calmly.

Shaking my head, "No."

"Just let me help you."

"I'm fine. I'll find another way down-"

Ed didn't let me finish yet another one of my disagreeing sentences, he just moved his hands up from my legs that helped keep me steady to my waist. By simply grabbing my waist, he pulled me off the railing and placed me on the wooden floor.

With my hands on his chest and his arms wrapped around me, my face flushed several different shades of red.

"Why are you so damn stubborn?" He rested his forehead against mine and sighed.

I moved my sight from my hands to his brown eyes then back to my hands. I took a deep breath before slightly pushing him away, "We should go see what's going on."

Dropping my arms and escaping his warm grasp, I walked away to the other side of the ship.

"What's going on?" I asked the captain just as Eustace ran pass us.

"Reep caught him stealing an orange."

Out of the corner of my eye, I caught Reep scurrying across the railing to catch up with Eustace. Smiling, I shook my head, nudging Ed as he appear next to me, "Your cousin is surely something, huh?"

Ed mumbled something in agreement as Reep reminded Eustace that he was indeed on a boat and that he couldn't escape.

"Look, can't we discuss this?" Eustace tried to reason with the sword wielding mouse.
