A Backyard Romance

Chapter 5

"What does action mean?" asked Sarah Marie.

She then noticed that there wasn't anyone around to answer her question.

Approximately 2 minutes and 37 seconds later Tyrone entered the room.

"What does action mean?" asked Sarah Marie. Not really caring where he just came from.

"It's means that the adventure is starting. Duh." said Tyrone.

"Oh" said Sarah Marie.

"Yeah" said Tyrone.

"Well why isnt anything happening?" asked Sarah Marie.

"Because Pablo has to start everything off, and he's so egotistical that he has to sing a song to get everybody's attention" responded Tyrone.

As soon as the words came out of Tyrone's mouth, Sarah Marie heard the beginning of a song. It was called "Aha".

"That's sounds really boring" said Sarah Marie.

"I use my hair to express myself" said Tyrone.

"What?" asked Sarah Marie.

"... what?" responded Tyrone.

...

An awkward silence ensued.

*Ding-Dong*

"Why did Pablo say 'Ding-Dong' instead of knocking?" asked Sarah Marie.

"Don't ask" said Tyrone.

"I already did though" said Sarah Marie.

"That's true," responded Tyrone. "Well, I'm not going to answer."

"Okay" said Sarah Marie.

*Ding-Dong*

"Oh yeah!" said Tyrone, "I have to answer the door."

Tyrone answered the door.

It was Pablo.

Tyrone and Sarah Marie led Pablo into the main room where Tasha and Austin were waiting.

Pablo started singing a song called "Mysterious Very Mysterious".

Because Sarah Marie loved singing so much, she joined in. When everybody else started singing too, she was quite disappointed. Her spotlight had been stolen away.

When the song was over, Tyrone asked Tasha if she wanted tea. She said yes.

"I want tea!" yelled Sarah Marie. Quickly followed by "Oh wait! I'm the maid! I can't have tea. Nevermind, don't mind me!"

No one was minding her.

Sarah Marie got angry and stormed out of the room, nobody noticed. They thought she was going to help Tyrone with the tea.

Out in the hallway Sarah Marie started talking to Tyrone.

"I don't think I like this" said Sarah Marie.

Just as she finished talking, Uniqua walked through the door. That was Sarah Marie's breaking point.

"I think I'll just watch from now on" Sarah Marie said to Tyrone, while staring angrily at Uniqua.

Uniqua didn't notice.

"K" said Tyrone.

With that, Sarah Marie was transported out of the adventure place, and ended up in front of a TV, watching the adventure unfold.

"This will do" said Sarah Marie aloud, even though no one could hear her.

She was alone.
