There was a girl I once knew
She was very kind
She always wore the color blue
And had a nice frame of mindShe never told a lie
And she thanked everyone
For in her eye
They should be recognized for what they'd doneThat's when she began fleeting
The spark in her eye went out
She was done with eating
She was no longer okay with being stoutShe wasn't even stout in the first place
Everyone knew that but her
She said she needed to change her face
For people would definitely begin to stirThe girl in blue liked the boy in grey
But he didn't know
And when she began to pray
It didn't showHer prayer wasn't answered in full
In the way that she thought it should
And she became a pull
A burden someone had to carry; no one wouldAnd in her bed
In the darkest of night
She cried until her eyes were bright red
Nothing is alrightAll she ever wanted
Was someone to love her
But she always felt daunted
When she attempted to say what wereThe thoughts kept coming
To the little girl in blue
Now she is always running
To someone to give her life anew
