"This way."
I follow her the best I can with the pain, which didn't subside. She walks through another doorway like the other one that led me to the demented flower. The other side was a huge change of scenery. The floor and the walls were a pink/purple, and autumn leaves littered the floor.
I continue to follow her until we reach some stairs. I approach the small yellow glowing star like shape between the two sets of stairs. Two holographic rectangles appeared, one said Reset and the other was Save. Shocked, I stumbled back. The two rectangles flicked a bit as I approached it. I reached out to touch one, but before making contact the rectangle became more static before fading.
I ignored it and made my way back to Toriel, who was waiting for me.
We entered another room with six buttons on the ground a lever and a closed door.
"Welcome to your new home, innocent one."
My home? I was going to live here? It was scary, was Flowey going to come back to get their revenge. That thought alone shock me.
"Are you okay, my child?"
I nod, shaking. I didn't want Flowey to hurt me again.
"T-toriel, do you think Flowey will come back?" I sniffled.
"It's okay. I will protect you for as long as you're here." She reassured, giving me a hug.
"Now allow me to educate you in the operation of the Ruins." She says walking over four of the six buttons and pulled the lever.
"The Ruins are full of puzzles."
I wasn't really good at puzzles. I was never the smart one.
"Ancient fusions between diversions and door keys."
What? I don't understand these words, what did they mean? Door keys? There were no keys.
"One must solve them to move from room to room."
A puzzle every room? I hope they're easy.
"Please adjust yourself to the sight of them."
"O-okay." I respond, my voice still shaking.
I wanted to go home.
Following Toriel to the next room.
"To make progress here you will need to trigger several switches."
"Do not worry, I have labelled the ones you need to flip."
I look around the long hallway like room. There were 3 switches, the first 2 had yellow arrows pointed to them. I walked over to then pulling both down. The second I triggered the second one the spikes blocking door fell into the ground.
Toriel walked over to the exit.
"Splendid! I am proud of you little one." She praised.
I smiled, I finally did something right down here.
She led me to the next room, in it was a dummy.
"As a human living in the Underground, monsters may attack you."
What!?
"You will need to be prepared for this situation."
"However, worry not! The process is simple."
"When you encounter a monster, you will enter a Fight."
"While you are in a fight, strike up a friendly conversation."
"Stall for time. I will come to resolve the conflict."
Am I not going the leave the Ruins?
"Practice talking to the dummy."
I walked up to the dummy. Just like Flowey my (Soul Color) soul appeared in front of me.
"H-hey. I am (Your Name)." I greeted.
"..."
"Uh..."
This conversation was going nowhere.
"Good job, (Your Name)."
She continued to lead me through two rooms. Spikes over water laid in front of us. She took my hand and guided me through.
"Puzzles seem a little too dangerous for now."
