ADVENT high school

Uh-Oh

   This could not be happening right now. How is she standing in front of me after all this time? I wanted to be happy but then I thought about how she never answered my text. How she left me heartbroken all this time. I couldn't be happy.

     "Oh, My Glob Marceline it's you!!" she exclaimed and ran towards me and threw her arms around my neck. I didn't reciprocate the action and she quickly noticed it by pulling away. I could see the hurt in her eyes but I knew she could see it in mines too. She just stood there looking at me awkwardly and the silence became unbearable. 

    "Hey babe I see you met my roommate Bonnie." She smiled and looked back and forth between us. See I never told her about Bonnie so she has no idea that I'm standing in front of the ex that broke my heart. I just laughed awkwardly. "Yeah I have. Hey, you wanna get out before it gets late?" I asked and she nodded and grabbed her sweater off the couch.

  "Hey, we'll be back later. You want anything while I'm out?" Robin asked her roommate and my ex. Bonnie looked shocked and like she was in some sort of trance, the silence becoming unbearable so I cleared my throat.

"Uh no I'm good actually" and with that, she spun around and quietly went up the stairs and out of sight. I'm sure this had to be rough on her but for fuck sakes, it's even harder on me, I mean she greeted me like nothing ever happened!
