Joeys POV

     "tonight, 5:00, you are all to report to the black box theater. any later than 5:15 you get an F. failure to show up, results in an F. you can leave tomorrow morning at 7:45 to get ready for school." then the bell rings and everyone spills out of the classroom.
     Well it's settled. I have to spend the next 14 and a half hours with Daniel and his friends. at least Shane and Cat are in this class so I won't be alone.
     the next three periods go by rather slowly. I was basically half asleep through all of them so haha whoops. It was before fifth period and I get a text from Shane. "meet me at my locker so we can get a table" I reply a quick 'omw' and shove my phone back in my pocket. I vaguely remember where his locker is but all I know is it's near Daniels, coincidentally and unfortunately.
     after another minute of walking, I see Shane at his locker and Daniel two lockers behind him. "Shane" I call from across the hallway. him and Daniel both look up from their lockers. "Hey Jo". "Hey Smalls." I look at Daniel who for some reason thought he was included in this conversation. "I'm sorry I didn't know I was talking to you SBBA." Last time I called Daniel that he pushed me up against a locker and punched me repeatedly. I realized my mistake when he put his books down and turned his full attention towards me.
     "do you remember, what happened last year? when you called me that?" he said with a stern voice. last year I would have just stood there and let him beat me, Or run away crying. but this year is different. "yeah I do, your point?" I can see the fear in Shanes eyes as he stands there not know what to do.
     he swings a punch at me but I dodge it. he does it again and this time I catch his fist in my palm and twist his arm around. "let's tango, Preda"
