House plays

Yesterday I went to my schools inter-house plays and my house went first. The play was about depression in teenagers and how distant we feel from adults. It ends with the main character committing suicide and we only came second place. The house that came first did a comedy set in Ancient Greek time and it broke the 4th wall too many times and I think it didn't make much of an impression! oh well.

The way people reacted to my houses plays was really weird. People were saying that it was 'too deep' and 'over the top' also 'depression isn't that bad' and that 'teenagers don't really commit suicide' or 'get depressed'. It's like people don't know what depression is.
