Is she my prey?

I walked towards my desk and sat down in my chair as I watched her curiously.

"August darling take a seat please"I said gesturing to the white leather seat in front of me.

I was mesmerized by her beauty , her makeup was light and not to heavy it only enhanced her beautiful face adding a slight glow . She was looking down hiding her face keeping those eyes of hers all to herself.

"August look at me when I am addressing you , you won't be fit to be a lawyer if you cannot look your enemy in the eyes ".

"And what makes you think your my enemy " she said softly while looking into my eyes.

"Darling you'd be surprised"I said chuckling.

"So today we will start with the basics"I said.

I thought to myself for a sec thinking of a simple but yet challenging client I could give her.
"Auhh... Lea Ripple , she wants a divorce from jake ripple her husband. She claims that her husband has been cheating on her for sometime now and that he's also been stealing from her boutique and giving the women he sleeps with her clothes"I said laughing .

"Hey it's not funny Mr . Moritello you should beware of a women's wrath when she's in love " said August confidently.

"I admire you Miss Clemons I really do ,but you should know that the husband is my client and I always win my cases"I said cockily .

"Sure" she said leaving me confused and unsure of what that meant.

"Well then I guess we should go meet the clients miss" I said pulling her to me by her waist and snaking my arm around her tightly .

She smiled lazily up at me . I could sense her nervousness it was so cute.

We walked out and down the hall . I saw Carly a head of us gasp as she saw August in my hold. She glared evilly at her then smiled at me . I rolled my eyes and stopped in front of her desk I told August to wait over by the elevator which was about ten feet away . I wanted her to hear this.

"Carly I don't tolerate bullying at my company , I definitely do not like trash sitting around and quit frankly you've been in the way . Let me tell you something , your father practically begged me to let you work here and I agreed because he was a business partner at the time , I have been generous enough to let you stay this long but it is time for you to go . I need you out by this evening or there will be a problem "I say.

"Is this about that fat black bitch standing over there". What is it ... Is she rich or because she has a bigger ass than me " she says sadly.

I stare at Carly for a moment my eyes turning completely black . But before I could react August had already had her in a chokehold . I laughed at the seen in front of me until I realized August wasn't gonna let go and Carly's eyes were rolling in the back of her head.

"August " I yelled.

She turned and looked at me her eyes were pitch black with a gold ring around the pupil . Oh shit that's not her it's me my rage is flowing through her , wow this whole beloved -mate bond thing is awesome . I grabbed August as she dropped Carly to the ground.
Carly gasped for air .

"Carly please leave immediately I will have your things shipped to you "I said smiling wickedly and proud of my beloved for standing up for herself.
