August's POV*

I breathed heavily trying to catch my breath. I kept looking back over my shoulder thinking that my knight in shining armor would come save me . But I had to wash that image out my head because he was the terrifying dragon coming to take the princess away. Or so I thought.

I tripped up over my feet and fell flat . I cried not knowing what was going to happen next . My hearing enhanced and my senses kicked in. I could hear him fighting with himself , trying to fight the blood thrust hunger that he gave into so easily.

I picked up my speed running faster trying to reach the staircase . I knew the elevator would have been a bad idea . He didn't need to go downstairs where more humans roamed . I ran down at least ten flights of steps already. I held onto the rail trying to catch my breath . I heard a loud bang coming from the top of the steps . It must've been him I knew it was him , the breathing pattern was just abnormal.

I thought to myself for a few seconds trying to figure out my next move but for some reason I wasn't fast enough . I felt myself being lifted and thrown back against the wall . A tear softly formed in my eyes threatening to escape. I looked at the man before me or should I say monster. He was truly beautiful in his natural form . His skin pale and white and glowing more than ever . Fangs sharp and long . His hair the color of pure chocolate with hints of honey blond . His jawline was tense and strong . His large form towering over me with muscles popping out of everywhere . But the scariest thing were those eyes of his . So intense and bold , yet beautiful and full of sorrow.

"Jasper please " I managed to whimper out.

I gasped as he growled and his eyes turned the darkest shade of blue. Lust.

He just continued to stand there and look down at me with a look of desperation.

There was noise coming form up the steps . He growled and turned his head to see where it was coming from. I slipped past him and continued to run away and back down the steps .

I managed to get down another flight of steps when I heard his loud roar . I tried focusing more as I put up a force field around myself . He came running towards me at full speed . But I easily pushed him back. How I did that, I have no clue. His eyes turned a bright Crimson red . He roared as he clawed against the invisible shield separating us . I could see it slowly crackling like glass when heated.

The sight of him was truly frightening but I've seen worse. He refused to take his eyes off of mine. I sobbed softly as I became weaker and the force between us finally broke down . He stalked closer to me slowly taking his time.

He smiled wickedly which scared the shit out of me . He slammed me against the wall . He stared me up and down like I was a rare and thick bloody steak . He licked his beautiful plump pink lips and he knew he had me right where he wanted me .

A tear slipped down my cheek and his grin grew wider.

"Gosh your so gorgeous I almost don't wanna drink from you " he said quietly.

"Then don't " I pleaded.

"Well where's the fun in that darling "said Jasper.

He lifted my chin so my eyes would meet his. His eyes swirled in and out between red and blue . You could tell he was trying to fight it but his hunger was taking over as his eyes turned completely black .
