"Call your mum, and ask her if you can come?" Sam told me, taking a sip of her sparkling lemonade. I quickly put my taco on my plate, pulled out my phone and pressed my mums contact. After three rings she picked up.
"Mum, I'm going to the mall with Sam..... Yes I'll call you when I'm leaving..... Yes... Bye love you too." I clicked the end call button and slid my phone back into the pocket of my jeans.
I sculled the last little bit of my orange juice, and placed the glass back onto the table. Grabbing my bag from under the table, I stood up sliding out from the seat.
"Sam, mum said I can come. But I have to call her when we're leaving." I explained to Sam.
She nodded her head as she slid out of the seat. Grabbing her bag we made our way out of Taco Bell. I walked up to the counter waiting for the lady to tell us how much our meal was. I gave her the correct amount of money and walked out of the shop to meet up with Sam.
We walked out of Taco Bell and out into the warm summers day. The sun was shining high up in the sky. The birds were chirping in the evergreen trees. The grass was green and the flowers were blooming. There were little children with their parents playing on the playground in the middle of the park. The city was buzzing with life as we stepped out into the open city.
"So where would you like to go first?" I asked her, as we walked through through the city towards the mall. She thought for a moment, probably tossing up between American Eagle, Urban Outfitters or Brandy Melville.
"Hmm, lets go to American Eagle. I need a new pair of jeans." She walked towards American Eagle.
I quickly followed her, not wanting to look like a loser standing by myself, wondering what to do. She had already chosen a pair of light washed jeans and a cream jumper when I walked in. I walked over to her laughing, I can't believe in the three minutes she's been in here, she's already taken clothes to try on.
"What's so funny?" She asked with a frown on her face.
"You've already chosen things to try on, in the three minutes we've been here." I laughed again, having a look at the racks of clothes.
"Anyway, I'm going to try these on. Tell me what you think." She told me as she walked into a changing room.
I awkwardly sat down next to an old man trying to figure out how to use his iPhone. Why do old people feel the need to have all these fancy gadgets, they just don't understand them! By the looks of it, he was trying to type something.
"Excuse me, could you help me?" He asked.
"Sure. What do you need help with?" I asked politely as he handed me his phone.
"Well, how do you send a message?" He asked, his voice breaking halfway through his sentence.
"You just type your message, then, you see this button here?" I pointed to the little green button that said 'send' on it. "You just press that once you're done typing your message." I gave him a smile as he took his phone back with a smile on his face.
"Thank you, I've been trying to work out how to do that for a long time." He replied happily.
I smiled at him as Sam walked out in jeans she chose and her cream jumper.
"So what do you think?" She asked, spinning around for me to inspect.
"Definitely, now can we go I need to buy a new bag. This ones falling apart." I told her, holding up my bag to show her how the zip had come off, the strap was broken and there were holes everywhere. I said I would get a bag like two weeks ago, that never happened.
"Fine. I'll just go and buy these." She walked back into the change room while I waited by myself, considering the old man left with his wife. Leaving me by myself. How dare he!
I took out my phone from my pocket and started playing temple run. My favourite game. Just as I died Sam walked out of the change room and over to the register. I decided I would wait outside.
"Sam I'll be outside." I told her walking out of the store.

After hours of shopping we finally decided to walk home. After calling my mum we started with our many bags. I bought a new bag that I was currently holding.
"Agh, my feet are killing me!" I wailed for like the hundredth time. We'd been shopping for so long and my feet just couldn't take it. Sam stopped and gave me a hug. You see, her house was the opposite way to mine, so we had to go different ways.
"Meet me tomorrow at my locker. Okay?" She told me, as she pulled away from the hug.
"Sure thing, see you tomorrow."
"Bye Charlie!" She waved goodbye as she walked the opposite way to me.
I continued walking towards my house. The problem was with this street, was that it had many ally-ways that to had to walk past. It's actually quite scary at night.
"Shh, she'll hear us." I heard what sounded like a mans voice.
I stopped dead in my tracks. No please don't be happening. I've watched many shows like this. Please don't be happening to me, I thought in my head. I took a step back, but as soon as I did I stepped on something.
*crunch, crunch*
Damn so much for being quiet. I quietly walked backwards, hiding behind a bin. Please don't see me, I said over and over inside my head.
"Ready, on the count of three." One of them whispered.
Charlie run, I kept saying in my head. I couldn't. I was too scared. My body wouldn't move. I was frozen with fear.
"One." Charlie just move!
At this point I was hyperventilating. If this was a show, or movie, I'd be yelling at the person in my spot to run away from them, but now I understand how hard it is. Your body not willing to move because your frozen with fear. It's hard.
"Two, three!" I heard them tell together. I shot up from behind the bin and started running the other way, trying to get away, but before I could one of the men grabbed my arm and pulled me back.
"Where do you think you're going?" He asked, I turned to look at him, he had a smirk on his face.
"HELP!!! HELP!! AHHH-" I screamed but was stopped as a bag was shoved onto my head, muffling my screams for help.
I started hitting the man, kicking him and thrashing around, but it was no use. He was too strong. I soon felt the bag being taken off my head. He grabbed what looked like a cloth and put it up to my nose.
"Shh, just take deep breaths. In, out, in, out." I held my breath trying not to breath in. I soon felt dizzy and took a breath, soon regretting it as I soon saw everything go black.
