I sit on my soft picnic blanket, and set down my watermelon to have a picnic by myself. I grab a slice of my watermelon and raise it to my mouth as one of the new neighbour boys with blonde hair walks over to my yard.

"Hi! I'm Garroth, one of your new neighbours!" The blonde haired boy says.

I sigh and take another slice of watermelon, and offer him it. He smiles and takes it while sitting down. I take a bite of my watermelon and savour it.

"I'm Y/n..." I say soft enough so he can barely hear it.

He nods, and continues to eat his watermelon.

"I'm 5, how old are you?" Garroth asks me.

I raise my hand to show him i'm also 5. I take another bit of my watermelon, and spit out the black seeds. I see Garroth swallow one of the black seeds and my eyes widen.

"What's wrong?" He asks

"Y-You ate one of the black watermelon seeds... N-Now a w-watermelon will g-grow inside of y-you..." I stutter, worried that I will get blamed.

"W-What?" He says, his eyes widening.

"I-I'll swallow one too... So it will be o-ok..." I say, plopping one of the watermelon seeds in my mouth and swallowing it. "Watermelon Seed buddies for life. If a watermelon grows in you, it will grow in me too." I say.

Little did Y/n, this moment would change her life.
