When the limo stops in front of the gate of the college I've never been happier to be at school.
I walk through the yard and immediately head inside the dorm. I turn right instead of left because I'm headed to Calum, Louis and Michael's room. I obviously want to stop by to... to... to ask Louis if he can show me those Spongebob boxers he always brags about.

Of course.
Even though I'd rather see Calum's, preferably on the floor.

Once I get to room number 116 I take a deep breath and raise my hand, ready to knock. My hand stops a few inches from the wood material and I roll my eyes.

I'm a dickhead.
Go on, knock.
But my hand doesn't dare to move.
Let them open the door, then somethin... My arm falls down my side and I shake my head, irritated with myself. Since when I'm this negative?

Oh right, since always.

I sigh and head back to my room. I'm so tired I think I'm having a vision of Dumbledore in pyjamas approaching me.
"Miss Irwin, why are you wandering the hallways this late?"
Shit. He's real.

I frown. "At least I'm not the one wearing pyjamas."
He's clearly pissed off. He'd probably rather meet anyone but me.
"Get back to your room immediately, tomorrow will be a busy day, full of studying and hard work, so that you can enrich your personal cultural background..." he trails off. "Why am I even telling you this?"

He's given me the shot of self-esteem I just needed after this night spent with mom Hemmings, thank you very much indeed. "Goodnight Mr. Dumbledore." I mumble while I pass him and start to take off my shoes. "I've repeatedly told you not to call me Dumbledore, Miss Irwin. I bet you would be a Slytherin if we were at Hogwarts."
I ignore him and continue walking toward my room, psychologically ready for Ashton's interrogation.

Then I see it.
I see a figure in front of the door of my room. I see them raising their arm to knock, then letting it fall down before it touches the wood and leave.
Our gazes meet in that exact moment and I smile like an idiot.
"Calum?" I whisper.

His look darts from my head to my toes, and he seems slightly surprised and confused. "What... your dress... and those Vans? ... Why..."
I giggle and get closer to him, making him stop talking. "Luke dragged me to this fancy ball with his parents who were impatient to meet his fiancée." I roll my eyes. "But I ruined everything, who might have known."

He can't help his smirk. "Yeah, who would have thought. What did you do?"
"Luke's mother might have shouted that my manners are worse than Heidi's, the sheperdess."

His chest moves as he laughs hard. I blush and take my keys to open the door. "Wanna come in?" I whisper, a bit scared.
He doesn't even answer, he just gets closer and gestures me to go in, closing the door behind him. The room is completely dark, meaning Ashton is already rolled up under his blanket with headphones in his ears and the door closed.

It happens all at once.
Calum's hands rest on my hips and his lips touch my neck, warm and soft just like last time. I drop my shoes to the floor, apologizing in my head for hurting an innocent, beautiful pair of Vans. My hands intertwine with his. Calum makes me turn to face him and rests his forehead against mine. His eyes are closed, unlike mine, which are wide open and eager to see every single detail of him.

He swallows. "What are we doing?" he mumbles.
"Not much now, but if we keep going we'll end up having sex again."
He smirks. "I appreciate your honesty."
"No worries."

"I don't think it's right."
"What?"
"Do what we're about to do, again."
"Why not?"
"Do you have feelings for me, Mary?"
"Maybe."
"Maybe you do or maybe you don't?"
"I probably do."
"I don't."
But his lips leave a small kiss on my neck. Fast. Gentle. Unexpected.
