Mind

I'm stuck in a dream
Far from reality
Though it's not as it may seem
This world is not carefree

It shows my darker side
My biggest fears
I cannot hide
Nor shed my tears

While it may contain a happy thought
Things I wish were true
The shadows cannot be fought
And the dark cannot be seen through

And I try my best
I honestly have
To finally put to rest
My hidden halve

But I cannot escape
Nor leave behind
This twisted landscape
For this place is my mind
