The nurse smiled at Adrien.

"No problem. Go take a seat and eat your lunch."

"Thanks," Adrien replied.

He took his seat, but he did not eat. Instead, he looked at Marinette, checking for bruises on her face. He pulled back her bangs and noticed a small scab on her forehead. With the bangs in front of it, it would have gone unnoticed. Push the bangs away, and you got a whole other story.

Mari whimpered painfully. Only then, did Adrien realize that he was pulling her hair back. He let go and placed his hand on his knee.

"Out of all people, why did it have to be you?" He whispered. Marinette's painful expression dispersed. She giggled. Adrien looked up in surprise.

Her eyes never opened, but the smile on her face remained. He let out of a sigh of relief.

'She's just dreaming, Agreste. Keep your cool,'

Suddenly, the door slammed open. Adrien growled, prepared to tell the intruder to quiet down. His words died in his mouth as he saw a boy being dragged out of the office by a vine. The nurse backed up against the wall.

"What the hell?"Adrien asked himself. He heard Plagg whisper 'akuma'. Adrien clenched his hands into fists.

'Great. An akuma is running around the school wreaking havoc. AGAIN. And Mari's got no way to defend herself.'

A vine peeked out from behind the door and made its way in. It moved its "head" around as if looking for the right prey. It locked "eyes" on Marinette and inched its way forward. Adrien reacted quickly, grabbing a fire extinguisher. He raised it over his head and smashed the vine to the floor.

"Hands off!" He spit out to the vine. He grabbed it with both hands, trying to restrain it. He looked at the nurse who was cowering in the corner.

"You have any scissors?"

She raced to her desk and with shaking hands, grabbed a pair of scissors. She then, ran over to Adrien and tried her best to cut the vine. It lay limp on the floor and in Adrien's hands. He dropped the vine on the floor and walked toward the door.(Hey, that rhymes!)He turned toward the nurse.

"After I leave, make sure to lock and barricade the door. If Mari wakes up, don't let her leave. Knock her out if you have to. Just don't let her leave."

The nurse nodded in agreement before rushing to the door. Adrien walked out of the room, closing the door behind him. She locked it and barricaded it with her desk and a cabinet. Satisfied with her work, she walked over to Marinette. She cupped her cheek and smiled.

"If only you knew how much that boy cared for you."
