My heart sank as she left.
"I'm gonna kick his ass." Billie said gruffly.
"Trust me. I'll kill him." I agreed.
Billie quickly wrapped his arms me. I awkwardly hugged him back. A second passed ans he quickly let go.
"Dude, y'know I didnt mean those things." I told him.
"Hell no, don't say you're sorry. IM sorry." He smiled a half smile and pulled his phone from his pocket.
"I need to tell Mike." Billie explained. I sighed.
"Im sure he'll understand."I told him, reassuring.
He nodded, dialing. "Hey." he said when Mike picked up.
"Sup man?" He asked.
"I need to tell you something. Just dont freak."
"Go ahead."
"I cheated on Addie."
"WHAT?"
"I'm sorry I just-"
"No! why would you do that?"
"He was really drunk." I interjected.
"Eff that!" Mike said angrily.
"Yknow I would never hurt her."
"Yeah.... sorry I freaked out.
"That's fine. you had all rights to."
"What will you do?"
"Not sure."
Cassie came from her room. "Trè can I talk to you?"
I gulped, not wanted to see what he did to her. But then suddenly angered myself for being selfish. I nodded and walk to her room as Billie's conversation trailed behind me.
"You ok?" I asked, shutting the door.
"Listen. I think I know what's happening." She said suddenly.
"Sorry?" I said. "What's happening?"
"You aren't gay, Trè. Billie has a wife." She patted the bed next to her. I sat down slowly.
"Why do you say that?" I asked, biting my lower lip.
"I heard him say he cheated on her."
I sighed. "Cassie, listen I-"
"Trè it's ok. But why did you lie?" She asked; her blue eyes peircing my soul.
"I don't know, honestly. I just said it...."
"To Johnny?" Cassie asked.
"Yeah. I'm sorry Cas." I said, putting my hand on her back.
She faked a smile. "It's ok."
I sighed, pulling my hands to my lap. "Did he hurt you badly?"
Without a word she pulled up her sleeves. Bruises and cuts.
"Oh God Cassie why didn't you say something!"
"I was scared!" She broke down crying.
Shit I shouldn't of overreacted.
I pulled her to my chest, soothing her.
"Listen, he's gone now. I promise nobody will hurt you."
She sniffled. "Promise?"
I nodded. "I'm gonna make sure of it."
She pulled back. "I missed you so much when I left."
I gulped back tears.
"I loved you." I choked out.
She smiled. "I never stopped."
Suddenly she pulled herself closer to me.
"Say it." She whispered- inches away.
"I love you."
Her lips crashed against mine so pefectly. She was so beautiful. This was the most perfect thing that has ever happened this week.
"Trè please don't leave me." She said quietly.
I nodded, hugging her tightly.
"I promise."
