I stepped inside the coffee shop, ordered a drink and waited for Chris, this was unlike him he was never late but maybe he was caught in traffic so I waited.

After hours of waiting I was becoming worried. What if something had happened to him, what if the was a accident .

"Is there anything else I can get you miss?" The flirty barrister asked.

"No, I fact I think I'm leaving soon." I mumbled quietly looking down.

"I think he's not gonna show love, and in my opinion its his loss, if it was me I wouldn't keep a pretty girl like you waiting...' the barrister laughed '... I'm Mike by the way" He smiled offering me his hand to shake.

"I'm Riley and I best get going"I said moving towards the door.

"Wait, would you like to go on a date with me Riley? I know its pretty forward but I'd love to show you a better time" He begged.

"Ok, why not, what's the worst that could happen. Here's my number." I laughed exiting the shop.

I began walking towards my apartment, my phone buzzed in my hand.

"CHRIS WHAT THE HELL, I HAVE BEEN WAITING HOURS FOR YOU!" I screeched.

"Sorry Riles, wrong German" Bo giggled on the other end.

" Oh sorry love" I sighed sadly longing to hear Chris's voice. Bo was a great best friend just not the one I wanted right now.

"Waiting for Chris aye, going to tell you want some of his tiny ass." Bo chuckled.

" Yes I was waiting on him, and no that secret stays between us remember" I uttered as began rummaging for my keys.

" Oh, I thought he would've told you that he has a date tonight."He sighed

"What! No he neglected to tell that drastic change to our plans." I said as tears now burned my eyes.

I'd been in love with Chris since the first day we met in school and 10 years later and I still haven't and won't ever consider telling him. This was only the second girl I'd known him go on a date with.

I stepped through the school doors one last time.

"hey, you seen Chris yet?" Bo asked as he came bounding up to me.

" No why?" I pondered

" I just heard a rumour that involves him and...' He stopped looking at his shoes.

"and what. What rumour." I yelled smacking him round the back of the head .

"... well apparently, Hannah told Amber who told Jessica who told Lisa who told Sam who told me, that Becca has been cheating on Chris and wants to leave Chris for some guy she's been sleeping with." Bo sighed.

" That fucking bitch, I never trusted her anyway, how dare she think she can get away with breaking my best friends heart!" I roared.

" It's just a rumour Riley it's probably total BS" Bo reassured.

" Oh look here comes the slut now." I yelled storming over to her.

" Oi, fuck face." I screamed.

" Me? That's not a nice thing to say to your best friends girlfriend." She smirked.

" How fucking dare you, you come in here all high and mighty thinking your the best around, little miss perfect and popular, get whatever you want and whoever you want and walk all over them, wrap them around your grubby finger until you find some one you like more huh, well feel free to do it with any of the other dicks in this god forsaken crap house, but don't you dare hurt Chris." I yelled.
