Liana threw her bright purple backpack over her shoulder. "Later, munchkin!" Leah's school was closer than Flare Valley, so she left later.

Her red locks were tugged back into a curly ponytail, the hair bouncing as her black sneakers kicked against the pavement as she walked down the road to where her school was. Well, until something caught her attention.

"Hey Liana!" An unexpected yet familiar voice called out. Liana turned her head, but as soon as she does her shoe catches on the pavement and she fell straight on her knee.
"Ow..."

She grabbed her knee but let go just as quickly, feeling a sharp pain. "Liana, I'm so sorry," a sincere yet worried voice apologized to her. She looks up to see Daniel standing above her, offering her a hand up.
"It's ok.." She gripped his hand as he pulls her up from the ground and hugs her. As he pulled away from her, he sent her a small smile.

"Is it alright if I walk with you..?" Daniel shyly asks while scratching the back of his head. "Uh, yeah, that's fine with me," Liana returns a sweet smile before fixing the strap of her backpack. As they approached the school, Daniel and Liana were greeted by Andy and Alex, the Mason twins. "Hey, Bestie! We haven't talked in so long!" Alex squeals before yanking Liana into a tight hug.

"I know, it's been too long!" Liana cheered with enthusiasm. "I've missed you guys. Oh, this is my.. friend, Daniel. Daniel, this is Alex and Andy Mason." Liana looks at Daniel, giving him a look, letting him know it's alright to talk.
"Ugh.." Daniel mumbled under his breath. "Hey, nice to meet you guys..." he nods before shoving both hands in his pockets and looks slightly down.

"Well, come on guys! We don't wanna be late meeting up with the gang," Andy states. The four rushed off, Alex marching down the corridors of Flare Valley in the lead. They turn a corner, and under a tree is four other girls and a guy.

"Danny?!" Daniel shouted out, running at the boy talking to the girls. He looked up just in time to dodge a tackle from Daniel.

A girl leaning against the tree laughed with an arched eyebrow. "You two know each other?" She threw a lock of black and dyed blue hair over her shoulder. "That's interesting." She, named Tahni, shot Liana a glance, calling her over with a nod of her head.

"Who's he?" A soft voice spoke, a thin Asian girl leaning over Tahni with curiousity. "His name is Daniel, Quinn," Liana whispered, looking past their shoulders at the two boys arguing.

Quinn crossed her arms over her chest. "Then why is he fighting with Danny?"

Liana approached, pushing Daniel away from Danny. "Cut it out, idiots! How do you know each other?" Tahni marched up, a frown pasted on her face. "And why do you got beef against one another?"

Daniel spotted a tattoo on Tahni's right arm-- a dragon spiraling up past her elbow-- and shut up. "We're brothers.." Danny muttered bitterly.

"Daniel and Danny. How original," Alex snickered. But look whose talking, her full name is Alexandra and she has a twin named Alexander. At least they're not both Alex..

Danny sneered at his brother once again. "This is my school too, idiot. So lay off."
Daniel just plainly rolled his eyes.

"Dahling!" Liana spun around, giving out a giggle, seeing two girls run up to her. "Liana, so good to see ya!" The blonde squealed, while the brunette tackled her in a hug.
"Claire! Jamie! Hi!"

Claire and Jamie worked for the school newspaper, and they were probably the most noticeable people on the entire campus. They had themed outfits for every day.

The two bounced around in their costumes; they had makeup done that made them look like pixies. Without saying a word, Jamie just handed Liana a newspaper. It was warm, indecating it was just out of the print.

Liana flipped through the pages of hot sheets and partically dried ink. Her eyes landed on an ad that took up a quarter of the second page.
