Scanning the cafeteria for my friends I find them at a table in the back corner. Walking up to them with a grin plastered on my face. Settinf my arms down on the table I lean in torwads them asking “Hey, do you all want to go to the lake house?”

"yes! Sarah, David, Jason and Emily all start to nod eagerly exclaiming “Yes!” as they get up and head toward the door.

I start to turn around to follow thembut stop when I see Hannah hasn't moved but is still sitting in her seat looking torn, her hazel eyes staring down at the ground.

Plopping down in the seat next to her I ask, “What’s wrong Han-Han?” While waggling my eyebrows at her, she shoves and glares at me. haha she hates when I call her that, I can tell she’s just kidding though because of the twinkle in her eye.

“So are you coming or no?” I wait a moment for her to reply and when she doesn’t, “Actually you’re coming; too late you don’t get to decide.” Grabbing her wrist, I pull her up and run after our friends. My heart flutters when I see a smile seep across her face. There's the Hannah I love.

We head over to our cars Hannah coming with me since I picked her up this morning.

As we get into my midnight black 1965 Mustang Fastback (ps Aarons car is to the left->it really is my dream car)“What happened to your car?” I ask, her eyes sparkle with a glint of mischief.

“What, sick of me already?” She responds with fake hurt showing on her face.

“Oh completely,” I say dripping with sarcasm.

“Well I never,” She huffs back at me and I laugh and turn the radio on while I am pullling out of the parking lot.

Anna sun by walk the moon comes on and she squeals, I laugh but I love this song too. People give us weird looks as we belt out the lyrics as we drive, but we don’t care we’re having too much fun.

“So what did actually happen to your car?” I ask after the song ends, realizing that she avoided my question.

“Well. . . it sort of maybe . . . just stopped working.” She replies sheepishly, a slight blush rising in her cheeks.

“Please don’t tell me you forgot to fill it up again.” I reply exasperatedly. How can a smart girl like Hannah be so forgetful?

When she nods her head in defeat, I laugh at her , “You know it doesn’t run on happiness and sunshine it needs this thing called gas.” I say as I set my hand on her knee patting it comfortingly. She laughs her sparkling white teeth showing and we spend the rest of the car ride singing our hearts out.

We pull up to the gate seeing Sarah and David sitting on his hood waiting for me to show up.

“Oh look the lovebirds,” I say pointing at Sarah and David.

Hannah smiles seeing Sarah laying her head on his lap while David gently strokes her honey blonde hair “He hasn’t actually asked her out yet.” She informs me.
