It's almost 3am, still early on into the morning. Ygrdr reminisces of her first memory in the garden that was once a vast woodland. "Mother? Can we go to the highlands?" "No my child, it's dangerous there. The highland meadows are Eurynome's domain, she doesn't favor nymphs like us. If we go there..." "Mother...?" "I... Not today." Ygrdr remembers that no matter what her mother said she would still go to the meadows in the highlands where the air is sweet. She sneaks out while her mother is tending to her sisters, teaching them to speak to and care for the plants. Dashing between the trees as they greet her hello, explaining to them that she "Will come to see them later." Having lost track of time, she looks up to find the moon rising. Luna's light smiles down upon her from the goddesses white pedestal in the Venetian blue sky, guiding her, holding her close. Briefly thinking to herself, Ygrdr wonders if her mother is looking for her, or if she mistook another nymph or one of her sisters for her, leading her to not worry. "I'm sorry mother... Please forgive me, though I know what I do." Mellea briefly groans and rolls over onto her side, although Ygrdr ignores this. "Ygr..." Mellea sighs rolling over again. Ygrdr, too lost in her own trance briefly glances over, and then back she turns to the window, The suburban scenery fading back to the woodlands she called home. Now rushing through the woods, a wisp on the wind, Ygrdr reaches the point where the treeline meets the bare grassy meadows whose vast hills stretch as far as the eye can see in the near distance. Her face glows as she lights up with excitement. Ygrdr hovers briefly above the grass, letting the tips of her toes touch down on the soft grass. She muddles the soil beneath her feet with her toes, taking in the energy of her surroundings, almost rooting herself like a tree. "HALT, TRESPASSING IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN! STAKE YOUR CLAIM!" Ygrdr, upon hearing this utterly booming voice immediately froze before taking the next step. "I SAID TO STATE YOUR BUSINESS FAE, OR BY EURYNOME, MY GODDESS, I WILL EXECUTE YOU!" The voice moves closer from the shadows behind the treeline followed by a humungous, swift, and sheer gust of wind blowing towards Ygrdr, and at the same time a fall breeze gusts through the window blowing the curtains about as she continues to lose herself in her trance. The fae turns around only to find the presence she felt glaring her is nowhere to be seen... Desperately searching, twisting her neck to and fro, Ygrdr looks up to the moon. Looking at the moon, A black shadow swiftly glides in front of it obstructing its glow. THUD! The ground shakes violently! Opening her eyes to find that she stills breathes, merely peeking through her eyelids, before her stands a mighty gryphon, the figure that evaded the grasp of her gaze. "LEAVE THIS PLACE!" booms the gryphon. "Ma'am I... um... I..." whimpers Ygrdr. "I cannot hear you child" booms the gryphon. "forgive me!" she yells. The ground shakes again, but the gryphon remains still. "AH, she has arrived." Ygrdr freezes stiff as ice as she falls to the grass, Before her is a mighty figure with a long flowing white dress, with hair coming down to their ankles, they smell of sweet grass and wheat. "I am Eurynome, this is my land, and that is T'aerna. She is the guardian of my land. You're far from home aren't you little one?" says Eurynome whose voice is as soft as the grass beneath all of their feet. "I- um, yes my lady..." wisps Ygrdr. "Why have you come here my dear?" Eurynome leans in and whispers into the young fae's ear. "I-... I wanted to see your fields m'lady..." Ygrdr replies quietly, not wanting to seem above Eurynome or T'aerna. "Hmm hmm... SIlly child, your mother must be worried for you... T'aerna, escort young- what is your name child? Ygrdr whispers into Eurynome's right ear. "AH, so your mother named you Orchid? Escort our lady Ygrdr back to her home in the woodlands. I will allow her to visit with me if she were to bring her mother next time we meet. Take care, and grow strong." "Oh, yes, why of course my goddess! Right away!" The vision, a ghost of the past, fades briefly, flashing back with an intense light only visible to Ygrdr. "Ignorant fae. If it was not for my lady I would have handled you... As a matter in fact..." T'aerna glares devilishly at Ygrdr, stands on her hind legs, opens her wings as wide as they will go, raises her her left front leg, her claws glistening in the moonlight. "Wh- what...? T- T'aerna? T'aerna?!" said shakily by the young fae. "SILENCE!"the gryphon screeches out as she swoops down slashing a horrible gash into Ygrdr's torso. "AUUGHCK!" screams Ygrdr dropping to the forest floor, only meters away from home, golden blood seeping through her hands as she clutches her chest. "Serves you right for entering our domain, petty child of a forest nymph. I will leave you here to die naturally. HAHAHA! It's the least I could do." T'aerna cackles, sweeping her tail in the fallen leaves turning to leave the woodlands. "Mother... sisters... h-elp m-e" Ygrdr desperately tries to call out knowing how close she is to home in hopes someone will hear her in the silent night. Using her legs and her only free hand she crawls the forest floor in a last attempt to make it home on her own after being betrayed, betrayed no less by someone that goddess trusted. Crawling, the scent of a flower flows on her nose. Crawling faster now she reaches a lone flower, a dracula orchid. Reaching out she caresses them, when she does, Ygrdr begins to glow a golden green. "You... hauck! Ugh... belong... to me now." her wounds glow black, healing herself as she becomes bound to this lone flower, her body becoming transparent as she is sucked into them. The last words she remembers from this memory are "Mother... you were right... forgive me." These words echo over and over softening each time with each repetition. The wind blows through the open window,  fluttering the curtains around her. TSSS A single tear rolls down the right side of Ygrdr's face, passing over her cheek, melting a tear sized hole into the hardwood floor, smoke billowing from the tiny crater. Still blankly staring through the glass pane of the window she mutters "The door... The door that leads home... I'm sorry Mother." She turns away from the window, walks over to Mellea who is smirking in her sleep, and for the first time lays beside her, holding her close. "Love... you..." Mellea sighs as Ygrdr silently cries into her shoulder.
