"Wake up Mellea, we will speak again. Do not forget what you have to do for her. If everything goes right... I'm sure you understand. Take care, and grow strong." As the scenery fades Mellea reaches out, grasping for the voice to not leave her "Wait...!" she pleads, but the voice is already gone. Mellea violently jolts awake, she'd fallen asleep in the middle of a lecture... not good at all. She looks at the flower on her arm. The flower only glows a dull blue and then slowly dims only to brighten faintly again. "Mellea. I want to go home. Let's go home. Please? I'm tired, I can't sleep here. Mellea please." anxiously, Ygrdr tries to plead with Mellea like usual. One day, several months ago in the second month of fall, Mellea awoke with a scratchy burning on the back of her neck early in the morning. That was the day, unable to deal with the rash thrashing of what she'd been forced to live as, the harshness of reality crumbled down upon her, and like glass Ygrdr broke under the memory that sealed her there. Since then the poor soul hasn't been the same. More fragile, more docile, definitely jumpy, all she wants is to be held in order to shake her fear of the past. Mellea, having zoned out remembers what the voice said, "The flower is dying. Soon they will be unable to support their lady Ygrdr... Sadly without a vessel she will die. What remains will be destroyed, and so will it fall to you too. I will grant you a gift of sight. You'll need it to help her.". Ygrdr waves rather vigorously in Mellea's face as she blankly stares into the distance of the lecture hall. "Quantum tunneling is the phenomenon where particles tunnel through barriers they would classically be unable to" all words have faded to a dull watery murmur. "Mellea... Mellea... Mellea!" Mellea snaps out of it and looks directly at Ygrdr, "Ok. We...'ll go.". She stands up, the chair's legs grinding rather loudly as she does so, grabs her bag and takes out her keys, and walks out without anyone stopping her.
In the car Ygrdr fidgets wildly. "W...hat's wrong?" Mellea asks softly, "Tell me..." speaking is rather tiring still. Mellea takes a deep breath "Tell me what hurts. Where? Why? How much?". Ygrdr stops fidgeting, looking at mellea she answers "When you say that... you remind me of my mother... it makes me happy. I don't know really, everything feels like it's going to crash down on me soon..." Mellea smiles when she hears this. The rest of the ride neither of them speak. Mellea rolls the car into the garage under the apartment building. They get out and go up the elevator to the 6th floor. Inside her apartment, Mellea puts a kettle on a stove burner. Ygrdr slowly floats from around the corner. Mellea, without looking to which direction she might find the fae softly says "You have me, don't forget that... I'll help you. It doesn't matter what you were towards me, it doesn't matter what you are. I don't exactly have a voice, all I do is raspily contort the air in my lungs to form a sound, but that doesn't matter. Please don't feel alone. You were never a burden to me." Blood slowly trickles from the corner of Mellea's mouth as the room within her eyes glows a bright white. Her eyes roll back like the tide of the seas, Mellea hitting the floor with a loud BADUM.
