Chapter 9

*Celeste*

Oh my god, what in the hell just happened? My mind was racing. 'This is not okay. I'm literally going to see Levi in an hour, I don't want Chris.' I shook my head as I drove, my thoughts still rushing around my head.

He was such an amazing kisser... And I definitely liked it.

But I couldn't. I don't like Chris, I don't like Never Shout Never. Despite how attractive Chris might be, all those tats. 'Shit, no Celeste, you have to stop.'

After I entered my building, I checked my phone for the time. 10:30, Levi would be over in half an hour. I raced to my apartment and quickly changed, fixed up my hair, and waited.

All I could think about was Chris. The way his round, brown eyes longed for me in his car. How his lips matched mine so perfectly. He was thin but had muscles that I could see under his t shirt. And his tattoos. God, was I sucker for them.

I guess I had been day dreaming because suddenly there was a buzz by my door. I got up to answer, it was Levi, and I let him in. Levi was a tall guy with big muscles. Not really my thing but it was cool. He put a lot of effort into his appearance as well, which wasn't really for me either. Two things Chris already had over him.

But he had a beard which was hot, and he was cocky yet obsessed with me, which I found attractive for some odd reason. I didn't like him as much as he liked me, but I loved the attention he gave me, plus he was good in bed.

I wondered if he was as good as Chris...

"Hey there!" Levi said while pulling me in for a hug that was a little too tight. I awkwardly smiled,

"Hey Levi! How are y-" he cut me off.

"So I was thinking we could go to this little cafe in the city. I've been there before, they have great breakfast food."

"Oh, yeah, sure, sounds good!" I smiled. Levi wasn't completely my type but I still enjoyed his company.

He led me out to his car and opened the passenger side door for me. After he got in the driver's side we headed to the cafe. He tried telling me what to order but I got french toast like I always did whenever I went out for breakfast.

"So what'd you do last night?" He asked. I froze and found thoughts of Chris kissing me flooding my memory. I felt my cheeks getting warm but tried to hide the truth. I cleared my throat before he added, "I saw some photos of you and Brielle on Facebook," he had his elbows propped up on the table with his chin rested on his folded hands. I relaxed and answered,

"Oh yeah, we went to see this band called Never Shout Never," I shrugged and stirred my water with the straw, "not a big deal." He sat there and watched me for a minute before sitting upright and speaking,

"Well that sounds like a lot of fun. You should ask me to come along sometime," He stared at me for a second before smiling. Thankfully our food arrived.

We ate and made small talk. Levi was good looking enough but something about him was strange to me. I guess his personality threw me off. Or maybe Chris was on my mind.

The waitress took our plates when we were finished and brought the check. I sipped on some water as Levi read over the ticket.

"Wanna split it?" he asked. I looked up at him with wide eyes right before he could respond, "Oh I'm just kidding Celeste!" he laughed and rolled his eyes before setting his credit card on the table. The waitress grabbed the check and walked away. I watched Levi stare at her ass as she walked away. Jealous grew inside of me for some reason.

"So, Levi?" I asked, watching as he pulled his eyes away. He raised his eyebrows. "When do you think you'll start dating again? I know you and Alexa ended things not too long ago."

"Oh yeah," he sounded a little bummed, "honestly I'm not sure. But I really hope that this can go somewhere," he smiled and winked at me.

"Oh really?" I smiled suspiciously at him, "well maybe it will, you never know."

"Maybe it can go somewhere back at your place?" He raised his eyebrows and I smiled in response.

The waitress returned with Levi's card so we thanked her and gathered our things. He stood up and held his hand out to help me. I held it as I got up and he pulled me next to him, grabbing my ass before wrapping his arm around my hips. He led me to the car and opened to door for me. As I sat waiting for him to get in, I checked my phone. I had one missing text,

"Had a lot of fun last night. We should do it again ;) -Chris"
