Elizabeth Tannor was, for lack of better words, an extraordinary woman. She has traveled everywhere, knows everyone, and can answer every question. She has a unique ability of knowledge. For a better phrase, she can know everything without knowing anything. Elizabeth is an orical.
She is one of few. She can see the past, present, and future. She knows all and sees all. As long as she is holding something of someone's. She can tell u anything about egypt, as long as she is holding a grain of sand or a plant from egypt.
She can tell you anything about your boyfriend, as long as she is holding his hoody, or a piece of hair.
Something that connects the question to the answer. She uses her ability to keep tabs on her children and help them.
As of right now, she seems to be at a loss of "power". She can't find Veronica. She has looked every possible place, she has talked to every possible person. She has even held Veronica's favorite charm bracelet. But she can't connect.
The only flaw with Elizabeth's power, is she can't connect to other mages. She learned this when she tried to connect to her parents when she heard they went missing. She couldn't connect with them. But she could connect with the regular missing person. She knew her parents had magic. And working in the FBI she was able to make the quick conclusion that she can't connect to other mages.
This quickly became a problem. As rising criminals were mages that didn't follow magic order. But now a new problem has arisen. Her daughter has found the shimmer, or otherwise the spirit who possesses your designated ability. So now her only daughter is a mage. And is missing.
Elizabeth sits on Veronica's bed. Crying for her daughter, The love of her life, her purpose. Is gone. Missing and gone without a trace. Elizabeth sits there sobbing as she remembers that today was just like any other day. She dropped Veronica off at school, gave her a kiss, and watched her daughter go off to school in her usually whimsical way.
But now, she was gone. Veronica just got her power. And now she was gone. Elizabeth never got to say the usual cliche lines of goodbye. And now she just sat there. Looking around Veronica's aqua room. Remembering her.
Veronica's room was like any 16 year old room should be. She had posters covering one wall. And a chalkboard wall to the right of that. It was where she kept all her schedules and dreams. She kept her drawing of the day there, she drew it to post it on instagram.
She had a desk up against the chalkboard wall. It's were she did her sketches, and worked on her plays, and where she kept her most prized possession, her chalk from india.
She had her bed to the left of that. It was a grand bed. It had rhinestones embedded at the head board. It was a deep grey, and the sheets where a black. They had a white dissolving feather in the right corner of the pillows and the sheets.
She had a magnificent wood bhero that held all of her, well we'll just be blunt, hippie clothes. She was very stylish though. She had always cared about her appearance.
As these thoughts came across Elizabeth's mind she burst into tears. She flopped on Veronica's bed and sobbed for what seemed like hours. She wanted Nathan, Veronica's father, to be there to cry apon. But he was still at work.
She started to believe she was alone. When all of a sudden she heard feet shuffling outside. She looked out of the window above Veronica's bed to see Roman. His face was grave with sarrow. Somehow she knew what Roman was going to say.
She felt a stab at her side as the thought of her precious daughter found dead. But that wasn't his news. She knew it wasnt. She knew he was going to tell her what she already knew. They can't find Veronica.
Elizabeth walked downstairs and opened up the door. She met Roman's pained face.
"Mrs. Tannor" Roman started off quiet. He took a deep breath, that somewhat seemed off. Almost like it was forced, or fake even. He started over again. "Mrs. Tannor, look I can't find your daughter. The last time a saw her she had this funny light a round her and she was screaming. She just fell to the floor and her eyes weren't her usual grey. They were black. I took her to the infirmary and when I came back to see her. Well"
His voiced trailed off as he looked up to see the accepting face of Elizabeth. For a moment she swore she saw a glint of pleasure flash across Roman's face. But she wasn't sure.
She grabbed his hand to make it look like she was heart broken and to accept him inside. Deep down she was. But right now she needed to know what was the truth. She was channeling her orical from within. This was harder for she usually let the orical out and a blue light surrounded her. But not now. She needed to know what this swine of a boy was up to.
She saw how much Veronica trusted him. But from images she has seen from others. She just doesn't know how to trust him.
As she grabbed his hand. Nothing happened. Absolutely nothing happened. She couldn't feel the tingle of a mage. And she couldn't feel the thoughts and memories flood in. Like humans do. That couldn't be.
She tried to hide the horror in her face. And she was sure she did. But if he was what Elizabeth thought. Then Roman already knew what she was thinking. And she knew he had her daughter.
She knew this world decendence had turned rogue. She knew Roman was a Netherwold being. She saw the wicked smile dash across his face. She knew Roman was pure
EVIL.
