Periculum pugnator, a rare creature usually a mixture of race. It is a being that must be both a Netherwold being and a mage. They usually come in human form, and are thought to have similar abilities to that of a shinigami. Instead of seeing the lifespan of someone, they see the level of danger that person is. It is usually on a scale of one to ten. Unless the being is not human. Then that level can be anywhere depending on species.

Veronica has lost all knowledge of time in this dark cellar. She has finally started accepting the voice in her head. After some time of "talking" to it, she found out the voice was a potentia animi. She was there to help her through her exploration of her new found power.

The voice told her to call her pami. And so Veronica did. Pami had explained her power was, for lack of better phrases, danger meter.

"Pami, why not give me some easier power? You know to help me get out of here"

This statement was said by Veronica in a very exasperated tone.

Dear double being, tis nit how thy power works. Thou power is set aside for thy generation to come, to claim thy relm of duty.

Pami never gave an easy answer for veronica. And she always referred to Veronica as "the great magister". She had no idea what it was. But hey it got Veronica through the 3 men's corralling at one another.

The 3 men would constantly beat her. Asking her to rate the people. And Veronica would suddenly see another number appear in front of her. She would refuse at first but she was so done with being beat that soon she would give in.

"Three, she is a three. When are you going to do anything with them? What is this for?"

Each of these questions would get her smacked hard enough that her chair would fall to the floor, crushing her arm beneath her. She felt as if her arm would burst open or fall off. She couldn't even tell you how bruised her arm was. She caught a glimpse of her shoulder, and it was not it usual pale, pasty color. But a dark purple, almost a black. There were a few spots of green here and there.

"Look you needn't know anything. Just do your duty and you shall live."

This voice was new, compared to what she had heard the past week. Yet it was very familiar. The room seemed to almost immediately dim. She saw a silhouette of a man. His number was much different.

"53, Pami, he is a 53."

Veronica breathed this under quietly. She had a look of horror spread across her face. She didn't even attempt to cover it up. She just gasped and immediately told Pami, even though she knew that Pami already knew. They shared a bond. A body. When Pami attached to her, she made peace with Veronica's spirit. She split Veronica's original soul in 2 and took over the other half.

This brought a ping, or rather a gesture of extreme surprise, to the silhouette.

"Yo-Y-You don't remember me? Or am I just that terrifying to you?"

Veronica knew this voice. It was Roman. Why was he this high on the meter? Why was he so hurt by her act of terror? Wait, no, she knew. She knew why he was so hurt. She knew that they were together, a whole.

"Of course I do. I just never thought you would be the one to do this to me."

"Why would I. This is not me."

"Of course it is, the last time I saw you, well I was on the floor and you were smiling."

"Because I had found you Veronic."

Somehow she didn't believe it. Veronica knew Roman wouldn't hurt her. But I don't know, he might have captured her. The disappearances of those girls.
