It all started out like a normal day. The birds were singing, the flowers were blooming, on days like these, kids like me, should be enjoying life right? Wrong! I was stuck in detention again because of something I didn't do, again. Someones phone had gone off behind me but it was blamed on me for the millionth time. I don't even own a phone! My thoughts were disrupted as the detention supervisor dismissed us, quite loudly I might add. As I walked out of the classroom I noticed my friends sitting on the ground right outside the door. "Hey there friend-o, how was detention?" asked Sam with a sly smile. "Oh, just wonderful" I said, sarcasm dripping from my voice. They both got up and we all walked out of school together. We all go to school at Washtin High School in Lansing, Michigan (not a real place... I think). Its a pretty normal school, you know, you got your bullies, your preps, your nerds. Normal school stuff. Me and my friends here weren't so lucky and ended up in the reject group. It isn't a bad as you think but I could go without the bullying and the ignorance but its fine. As we continued, Sydney started a conversation. "So, Sadie, you got anything to tell us about, oh I dunno, tha-" Sydney was interrupted by Sam "That hot guy who talked to you today!" I immediately started blushing "T-there's nothing to talk about. He just asked me if we had any homework due today. When I said no he walked away without even acknowledging me. He wasn't even interested. And besides, I've kinda got my eyes on someone else" I almost mumbled the last part. Both Sydney and Sam gasped. "Oh my god girl, tell me who the lucky guy is!" exclaimed Sam "Yeah, tell us!" sand Sydney. "Tell us! Tell us! Tell us!" they began chanting. "For one its not a guy and two I'm not telling you guys!" They became extremely disappointed but what did I care. I want to keep my love life a secret whether they like it or not! As we kept walking it was really silent and most importantly extremely awkward. We finally got to my house. We said our goodbyes and then I walked away. 'well that was awkward' I thought as I walked inside.
