-Out of the frying pan, in the hell fire-
He walked... not knowing where he was, who he was, or even WHAT he was. He was a man with no name, no history, and no idea of what to do. The Pip-boy he had lifted off of the skeleton had little use as it seemed to have no maps or markers dictating whereany kind of town could be... for all he knew he was in the middle offucking no where. Well, no where is the start to somewhere right...?He kept moving, his gun still in his hands and the safety still clicked off and ready to shoot the first thing that tried to attack him. But, as he was walking forward something had caught his attention... a sound. The distant noise that was a Radio being blasted into the open air of the Wasteland, and where there was music, there had to at least be some to listen to it. He quickened his pace and kept his eyes open for anything that could be a threat to him as he closed on on the sound of the radio. He looked over the far edge of a small cliff and saw a small line of people with Brahman, these large two-headed cows, pulling carts of wares and supplies before he could even react or say anything.... he was being shot at. One of the caravan guards had taken a pot-shot at him with their Hunting Rifle from the bottom of the cliff, the round ricocheted off the edge of the cliff and the blue haired experiment fell back and dropped to a crouch as he drew his pistol. "WHOA WHOAWHOA! Watch it ya fucking wacko!" The leader caravan walked over and ripped the rifle from his hands and smacked him upside the head. The guard growled a bit and mumbled as the leader slowly made his way up the cliff and seemed all to ready with the rifle the situation went south. "Hey! You a Friendly?!" He yelled from behind cover. The Experiment slowly rose to his feet and nodded to the caravan driver, who gave a slight sigh of relief and a slight smile. "Sorry About the guards, you can't be too careful this far into the wasteland." The Experiment now had a closer look at the caravan driver, he was an older man maybe in his late 30's with messy, unkempt black hair. The driver seemed to stand at around 6 foot tall and bore a slightly muscular build. "The name's Joseph, but everyone just calls me Handyman Joe." The rugged caravan leader then slowly made his way back down to the rest of his caravan and began to lead the caravan once again. The Experiment looked at them, pondering whether or not he should follow them for a while... in the end, this was the only logical choice he could make. He lagged behind a bit at the ass end of the caravan, his mind still stuck on why he couldn't remember anything, what the hell could have happened to him to make him forget AND glow like a pile of plasmatic goo. After awhile of walking, the sun slowly fell under the horizon and the wholecaravan stopped and made camp in the ruins of a burnt out building. As everyone slowly went to sleep in a few tents and a couple ofruined mattresses, The Experiment slowly made his way into thebuilding and sat against a wall. His hair still glowing brightly, almost as bright as a small flashlight in fact, it lit up the wall and room with a cool, yet sickly blue glow. -Tap Tap Tap Tap- 'Hmmm?'He lifted his head and his eyes fell upon a rather tall, skinny figure in the doorway, it had an odd bundle around their neck with a few small, dim, red blinking lights on it. As the figure moved closer it seemed to almost laugh childishly as it moved towards him. It was a ghoul, If a person is exposed to enough radiation they become a zombie like being, immune to radiation and given a much longer lifespan. The ghoul grew closer and closer until the blue light revealed her rough skin, patchy hair... and milky white eyes. "Quaaaaantummm~"The ghoul's voice was rather soft, but still held the typical ghoul scratchiness, the ghoul's body had a slight hint of once being a girl. The blue haired experiment slowly looked at the ghoul standing over him and cocked his eyebrow. "E-Excuse me...?" He said, rather confused thanks to the ghoul. "Quantum! I know you have one!Where?!" The ghoul then hopped down and looked all around him as he scrambled back and scooted away from her. "What the hell are you talking about?!" He said as the ghoul squatted close in front of him, she then lightly bounced and replied, "The glowing blue fizzy!Where is it?!" He looked at her and then sighed a bit, "No, No...That's my hair glowing, not a drink." He looked down a bit and looked back up to further explain she was now staring mystified by the glowing blue hair. "Ooooooo~ Pretty~" She slowly shook her head and looked back at his eyes. "What's your name? :3 I'm dot!~"She smiled and The Experiment kind of shuffled a bit, "I... can't remember... I cant remember much of anything to be honest." The ghoul looked at him and stared for a few seconds... "Quantum!"She then called out in victory and sat down next to him. "Wait... as my name..? 'Quantum'?" He looked at Dot and mused at this idea,it'd fit very well with the current situation, and he would be lying if said he didn't already have a liking for the name. "Quantum it is then." He Confirmed and Dot then clapped and celebrated a bit before she was distracted by the slight hum of a radio with no signal.
