C H A P T E R 36

Brooklyn pov...

I was almost asleep when my phone beeped.

Mark: hi I'm in Cali right now and I want to see you💯😍😊😘 love you baby😘😘

Let's be honest....since I've been in Cali I totally forgot about me and marks relationship....like legit.... I've been caught up with Gabriel... and now I feel bad since I kinda cheated.

I shrugged it off and fell asleep. Yes, leaving him on 'read'. I do it all the time.

I woke up the next morning by the sun peeking through the Navy blue curtains across the room.
I yawned and stretched for a few minutes then I got up and took a shower to wash the salty ocean water off. I got out and felt refreshed.ahhhh. lol.
I was drying my hair with my towel while walking downstairs. I heard Gabriel on the phone with someone.
I hide behind the wall and crouched down so he wouldn't see me and listened.

Gabriel- yeah I know.... kayce is all around amazing but..... Brooklyn keeps popping into my mind......

Gabriel- brooklyn is like my first real relationship though........

Gabriel - kayce is closer to my age yes...but she isn't as enthusiastic as brooklyn or more driven...

Gabriel- alright man ....bye

After the phone call I pretended to just come down the stairs like I didn't hear anything.
Gabriel turned around and waved.

"Morning."

"Morning... breakfast?" I asked him. He nodded is head and we ran to the kitchen. We grabbed the eggs and made toast with eggs.
We sat at the kitchen table and watched TV into the living room.
Gabriel's left hand rests on my thigh and slowly rises higher.

Danger !!! Danger !!! Danger !!!

I tried my best to ignore it , but I couldn't . I groaned when he pulled it away. I looked at him and he was looking at me smirking. Bitch. Teasing me who the hell you think you are.

I waited a few minutes to pass and I laid my hand on his thigh and slowly crawl up. I watched as he tried to suppress his moans . My hand was at his friend and I moved away. He looked at me mad asf.

"What?" I put on my innocent angel face on. He laughed and we washed our dishes.

We sat in the living room watching SpongeBob. It's dumb but funny.
We sat there laughing at Patrick dumbass self

"Hey squidward?" Gabriel mouthed to me.

"What Patrick?" I mouthed back.

"Is mayonnaise an instrument?"  We laughed so hard we ended up in tears on the floor.

Kayce comes down and told us she has work today so we had to stay home.

"I'll be back at 7 bye." She kissed our cheeks and out the door she went.

Gabriel lifted an eyebrow at me and shifted his gaze to the pool out back.

"Wanna swim?" He smiled.

"Yeah ." I returned the gesture and ran upstairs.

I grabbed my galaxy print strapless top and my black bottoms. I grabbed my towel and went outside.
Gabriel wasn't out yet so I sat down by the pool with my feet dangling in the water.
I felt a force push me I'm and I sunk to the bottom. Since I'm a really good swimmer and know how to control my breathing I decided to stay at the bottom.

I heard him yelling my name and he finally dived in and swam to me. He lifted me onto the concrete and pumped my chest. I opened my eyes before he did anything else.

" Omg your alive!" He hugged me really tight I think I was going to barf my organs out.
" I was playing tricks the whole time." I laughed and pushed him in.

He came back up and dunked me.
If it was actually fun to hang out with my best friend again. We were both laughing uncontrollably when he grabbed my waist. He wrapped my legs around his waist and we immediately stopped laughing. We stared into each other's eyes. And bam. Kissed.

*Glass breaks*

We quickly pull away to see mark? Oh shit . I forgot he was coming today... his mouth opened and his eyes glossy.

"Mark I can explain." I said getting out. He was to shocked to run or to move. When I was inches from him he turned ad walked out the house with nothing to say. He didn't even look back.
