Marco and the Elders were leaving but he just couldn't because he knew something was wrong. Marco told the others to just go ahead without him and he would be therein a few minutes. That was when Marco realized that Sydney wasn't with him and that she was still somewhere at the party. Marco ran back inside the building and looked everywhere and he finally found Sydney or so he thought, she wasn't looking straight at him but somewhere off in space and Sydney was looking pale as ever and so Marco ran to her. When Marco reached Sydney, he held her and kept asking if she was okay but he never got a reply because that was when she started choking and puking and shuddering in his arms. Marco realized that someone was here and they shouldn't have been here and put a spell on her and she needed to be saved fast or she would die. She was still shuddering as he carried her outside to Lil Wayne. He looked at Lil Wayne and they had a silent communication and Marco left Sydney with Lil Wayne and took off as fast as possible down the dark alley. Marco ran and he finally found what he was looking at and he saw two vampires and a witch standing in front of him.
Marco started talking to the vampires and the witch. He didn't realize that he was surrounded by more of them. Then he pulled out his cellphone and dialed Lil Wayne's number and explained what was going on and then he snapped his cellphone shut and turned back to the vampires and witch. He started talking in a totally different language but the witch could understand and she replied that she hadn't been anywhere near his mate. Marco nodded in understanding and asked why he was surrounded and what happened because his mate was dying and she hadn't even been sick when they arrived at the party. The witch asked if she could take a look at Sydney and Marco nodded and they took off down the dark alley to Lil Wayne. They ran back to the building in time to find Lil Wayne holding Sydney's body in a way that made Marco want to puke.
