Picture of Misaki to the right--------->
Eiji's POV
After that spectacular acrobat move, the match kept going downhill. He threw lobs whenever I went close to the net, or deep line balls when I tried to come forward. All the bending of my knees, was making my stamina deplete quick. I had to win, but the score was only five to one, the one being me. I watched to ball, dashing to the right and returning it but Misaki quickly returned it on my open left.
"35love"
I panted heavily. There must be some way to beat him but what?
Misaki POV
I was having so much fun! I loved showing off my acrobatic play, and watching Eiji Kikumaru sweat in frustration! I wanted to win! Win! That's all I wanted to do! I knew Marco was watching without much interest. Ugh, he never did anything but sleep and blink! I really hated him but I had to respect him or Suzuki might get mad. I was so intent on thinking, I made a mistake. Before I realized it, the ground rushed up to meet me and I felt a crack go through my arm. Wait- what had happened? I lifted up my head and looked behind. My shoelaces had become undone and I had tripped.
Really lame!
"Are you okay?" yelled Kikumaru.
I stood up, a bit unsteady. I gave a smile, even though a few high schoolers laughed at me.
Go ahead and laugh, I'll just beat you later.
I reached down to pick up my racket, and immediately a jolt went through my body and pain was sent tingling from my shoulder. I winced at the sudden pain.
Marco must have noticed because he called for a timeout and came out to me.
"You should stop now." He stated bluntly.
I looked at him bewildered. There was no way I was quitting just because of a bit of pain.
"Don't want to! I wanna win! I wanna win!" I whined.
He furrowed his eyebrows at me. I furrowed my eyebrows back then he gave a sigh of defeat, knowing too well what would happen if he argued with me.
"Fine."
I grinned widely then got a idea. I lifted up my shirt, where dark green weights were wrapped around my stomach, shoulders and chest. I reached one hand up to remove them but, of course, Marco stopped me.
"Don't. Suzuki will get mad."
"But if I don't, I'll lose. Just this once. I'll put them back on afterwards." I pleaded.
The only way to win was to take off the weights. He looked at the ground and clenched his hands for a moment then helped me remove the weights from my torso. I took off my jacket and sweatpants. I guess it was time to end this game. And I really wanted to play longer!
Eiji's POV
I was surprised to see the boy called Misaki, wearing weights all over his body. No wonder his build looked unreal. Without the weights, he looked thin and lean but definitely in shape. How had he played that well with over ten pounds of weights? Does that mean he was going easy on me?!
I looked at my hands. Why was I shaking? What pressure! It was making me shake! I waited till the other boy had left the court with Misaki's jacket, sweatpants and weights, then I bounced the ball twice before serving. I wasn't trying to be mean when I served to the side of the court where his body had fallen, but somehow he returned the ball.
Faster than before, I couldn't even react. I just looked at him. His eyes were playful and reckless but his smile was guilty of evil. I gulped nervously.
I guess.........I lose.
Misaki's POV
After I lost the weights, the game went by fast. It was no fun, like Kikumaru had given up. He didn't run as fast as he did before for the ball and his hits were off and out of control. This was no fun.
"Game, set and match. The winner, Misaki"
I narrowed my eyes, then hopped over the net and walked right up to Kikumaru. I may be a bit shorter than him but I told him.
"I always hated you. But now I just plain dislike you."
Then I walked over to a waiting Marco.
Third Person POV
As Misaki and Eiji finished there game, at the gate, a different matter went on. A short, hooded person, slowly walked towards the gate. A black hoodie hid there eyes and hair but there lips were a soft, pink plum color and the skin like copper and gold. They only carried a bag big enough for one racket. No high schoolers awaited this person nor middle schoolers. Yokai Academy's arrival was occupying everyone.
The person glanced left. Then right. They saw no one. Taking a few steps forward, they turned heading through a short cut to be unnoticed.
"Hey. Are you the transfer student camper?"
The person turned around to face two high schoolers who had spotted them. The person nodded, not really paying much heed to the high schoolers.
"Oh, then you must know of the test you have to take before entering? Right?" The high schooler with the hat said.
The person didn't move one bit. This perplexed the high schoolers.
"Well then follow us" Encouraged the other one.
Suzuki 's POV
Oh, how good it felt to challenge strong opponents! I seriously wasn't suspecting 'The Momoshiro Takeshi' to be the first to challenge me. I sat on the bench, flipping my racket side to side. Momoshiro was busy talking with someone. I overheard something about Kikumaru Eiji and Yokai Boy. I grinned thinking of how Misaki had probably kicked his ass by now.
When the news was done, we walked onto the court, shook hands then decided who would serve. Momoshiro won. I gave my best 'Its okay' smile then waited for his serve.I was probably receiving some quizzical stares, and I knew why. My racket, for starters, was odd. The color was an extremely, metallic purple with a square grip. The grip wasn't like a normal grip, in it was a vibrating MP3. No, I'm not cheating! It doesn't help me with anything.
Reason it vibrates is the vibrations are the tune of whatever music is playing. Only I can hear and feel the vibrations. Another reason for the stares. Black earbuds.
"Um.....shouldn't you take out the earbuds?" Momoshiro asked.
I shook my head and smiled. He gave me one more look before serving.
Third Person POV
Back at the scene with the person and the two high schoolers, the person had followed the teenagers to the court where three cans were set up. No one was around but them.
"What you have to do is knock down the three cans. You get five balls." They explained.
The person nodded, then setting there bag down, they unzipped it, ready to take out there racket but paused.
"Is it okay if I go all out?" They asked, there voice higher pitched than expected.
"Uh....sure.." The high schooler with the hat answered, surprised.
"He'll probably miss all five times" whispered the other. They snickered.
While they became distracted, in one swift motion, the person had there racket and a ball. Before the two high schoolers had time to react , they hit the ball. A rush of dirt, dust and leaves went up, sending the two falling backwards on there butt. When the dust cleared, all that was left was the ball rolling slowly across the court. The person stood there, racket in hand, looking at them.
There eyes were a bloody red.
"W-W-Who are you?!" shouted one of the high schoolers.
There was no way a person that small could have done something so big. The person turned then said.
"I am Sai"
