Brenna ♡♡♡

Moving here in this tiny little town was not my idea. I was perfectly happy where we were living at to begin with. I knew everyone there.. I had a friend... But, my Mom, apparently, was not a happy camper living there.

I almost cried the day we left. My best friend Macy, did cry.

Macy knew all about my Mother. She was the one I always went to whenever my Mom made me upset, or when she was so drunk that she could barely stand.

Who was the one that helped my Mom? Me.

Macy had her secrets though. Secrets that I had to help her with. Don't we all have at least one problem that we can't handle our self?

After running out of the classroom, Mr. Lance must've followed me, because the next thing I hear is someone calling my name.

My first reaction is to just keep walking, because I have tears running down my cheeks and I don't want no one to see me crying, but I stop and turn around anyway.

Yup, it was Mr. Lance who was calling my name, and now he's walking towards me with a concerned look on his face. "Are you alright, Ms. Peterson?"

I smile the best smile that I can, and start quickly wiping my tears away. "Yes, I am. I'm sorry that I ran out of there like that, but I have to go take care of something really important." I have to call my Mom.

I was expecting him to tell me that I had to come back inside or I was going to get a detention, but he just nodded his head with that concerned look still on his face. "Okay. I hope that everything is alright. This is going to be the only time I'll allow this, alright?"

My phone in my pocket vibrates again, letting me know I have another text from Mom, and I quickly nod. "That's fine."

He smiles a small smile before turning and walking back to the classroom.

Great, I'm missing my only class that I actually like. Thanks a lot, Mom.

Once I get outside, I pull my phone out of my pocket and dial her, not even looking at the text she sent me.

"Helwo?" I hear the slurred speech. Yeah. Drunk.

I sigh, and run my hand through my hair. "Mom?"
