The Little warrior

Narrator:

It was a sunny beautiful afternoon in the fair kingdom of Drimmathia, the king was about to give a long perorational speech to the people of his kingdom.
King Richard Giraldus, or what people call him Lord of Forgiveness, for so many reasons.
He was the 9th of his dynasty to rule the kingdom, the first who enforced the new law of Drimmathia, the first who built an alms-house shelters for the orphans and the proletarians. Spent half of his fortune ending the misery that had mitigate the kingdom for decades. Revoked the beheadings of the felons, and just settled with imprisoning them.
No doubt that the kingdom favors him for his benignant accomplishments, that's why he was surnamed "Lord of Forgiveness".

As soon as many people gathered in front of the castle, from all ranks and positions. From the nobility to the proletariat, Elderly to infants. Black and white. Everyone in the fair kingdom of Drimmathia attended the solemn king's speech.
There was a little girl, 8 years to be exact. Was having a nap, dreaming to become the next queen of Drimmathia, but it was impossible due to the laws for the royal dynasty of the kingdom, only men would rule the kingdom.
But the little dreamer didn't seem to put that in her mind, in fact she was thinking about if she became queen, she would make a new law book of her own.
Little dreamer didn't seem to enjoy her nap, the king's speech was very loud. She decided to leave the castle, even though her mother warned her about leaving, but she never listens. She always takes off and head to where she sees her best friend. Vincent, the tailor's son, his father is the king's tailor, and a very close friend to the little dreamer. They grew up together, went through many troubles together, and they always imagine things in their heads as if they were real. Vincent has always believed in this little dreamer. He's the only one who gives her hope.

The little dreamer wore a small brown hood, so no one can see her, especially her mother. She head out to the back and met Vincent, with a wooden sword and an armor.
The little girl greeted her friend, and then started practicing sword fighting with him.
All of sudden, a group of three boys approached them, nearly at the ages of 13-14. But the little girl didn't seem to be pleasant by their occurrence, neither did Vincent. As soon as they got closer to the kids, they knew who they were.
They were the indecent boys, or what they call them, Bullies.
As the twos kids were practicing sword fighting, the bullies approached closer.
"Well you look at that, If it isn't ginger bread clown and his dwarf."- One of the bullies mocked them.
"Oh dear, they're scared as a puss".- Another one spat.
"L-leave us alone, please."- Vincent said in stutter, terror was filling up his face, but he pretended not to be. The little girl as well, she was shivering like snow fall had hit her, widening her eyes at them.
"Why? So you can cut each other's heads?"- The bully said and his friends were laughing.
"You think you can be a fighter?"- Another one hooted.
"Go back to your father's house, ginger bread. So he can teach you sewing, before you cut someone with that fake sword".- The bully kept going closer to vincent's face, threatening him for no reason.
The kid didn't move an inch, instead, he was silently standing, and the bullies were provoking him. They took his wooden sword, and started pointing it on him.
The little girl didn't enjoy that scene, so she did what she has to do to help her friend. She yelled on top of her lungs to leave him alone before they regret it. She began to raise her wooden sword, her barrel armor, and began to make a real fight.
Unfortunately, the bullies were laughing at her non-stop. Two of them were grabbing vincent by his shoulders, and one was pointing the wooden sword on his face. They turn around to the little girl, and that one with the fake sword came closer to her.
"And who do you think you are, dwarf?".- He spat and looked at her with anger and wrath.
"I'm the one who will make your glory day into gloomy day, jackass. And if I were you, I'd leave and never come back".- She was talking loudly, with a lot of courage and confidence, and hope. She was pointing her wooden sword at him, furiousness was taking over her eyes.
But, nothing goes as plan. The bully approached closer to her and took her sword as well, she began yelling, and screaming at him to give it back. But he didn't seem to listen, so he brutally pushed her to the ground. She was suffocating, until she decided to get up, and the hood over her head went down, her little golden curls were appeared.
Vincent was resisting and moving away from them, he began to tell them who she was.
"S-stop! You don't know who she is. She's the princess".- Vincent yelled on the top of his lungs.
The others were looking at him and to each other confused, and kind of unbelievably curious.
The little girl widened her eyes furiously at vincent, she didn't want anyone to know that she's the princesses, daughter of King Richard Giraldus. Especially those bullies, she doesn't need another problem.
"It's true, she is the princess. And if you hurt her, you will be eliminated".- Vincent kept yelling and struggled with them.
The bully with the wooden sword came closer to the little girl, and faked a smile at her.
"If you were the princess, why on hell are you out here?".- He was mocking her, kneeling down to her, because she was still on the ground after being pushed, dirtying her brown hood.
"Non of your business, and give me back my sword".- She yelled at him, with a lot of anger.
"Oh, that's right. Your sword".- He was looking at it, moving it up and down, waving it around like a toy. The little girl wasn't happy with the way he was moving it, staring at him with anger. Untill, he decided to break it, and throw it away.
"Noooo, not my sword".- She screamed in sadness, almost a cry.
"If you ever think I give a damn shiet about you being a princess, then you're wrong. Oh, and a real princess never fight, especially with swords".- He spat, in ridicule. He moved away and broke the other sword, that belonged to Vincent.
And finally, they left them alone, after ruining their day. Without those wooden swords, they couldn't practice.
The little girl got up and started looking at her broken fake sword, as if she was looking at a dream that will never come true.
Vincent was looking at her with sorrow, he didn't mean for any of this to happen.
"I'm terribly sorry, Amelia. I'll make another sword for you, I promise". - Vincent said, with grief.
"It wasn't your fault, vince. I should have never rebelled against them".- She added with a tear coming down from her eyes.
"I think you did great, when you stood up for me. You're a hero, for doing that. Thanks Amelia".- Vincent thanked her, with a smile on his face.
The little girl wiped her tear, and smiled back at him. She began wiping her eyes, smiling and being hopeful, and optimistic as usual.
"So, are you going tell your father about those bonkers?"- Vincent asked the little girl, while walking back to the castle.
"Are you insane? What am I suppose to tell him?".- She replied, with fragile.
"Why not? He's the King! You're his daughter, aren't you?".- He asked her again.
"It's not as easy as you think".- She added, with a little anger.
"Why?".- He asked in confusion.
"Because, I'm not allowed to be out here. If he found out that I was ever thinking about leaving that door I would be punished".- She replied, pointing at the castle's giant gate.
Vincent finally realized that the little princess couldn't leave her castle, or make any communication with the people outside.

The two kids said their goodbyes, and Amelia went back to the castle, without anyone noticing. There was a small door that Amelia had discovered, that leads outdoor. She always go there, and comes back later.
As she entered there, something caught her attention. It was the smell of the roasted chicken, Amelia's favorite food. Before Amelia could enter the kitchen, her mother called her out. Amelia didn't want her mother to find out, but eventually, she did.
"Amelia, where were you?".- Her mother scolded her.
"Hey mother, I was just playing in the garden".- She replied, hiding her tensity.
"I've been looking everywhere for you".- Her mother added.
"You don't have to worry about me, I just got bored and played a little".- She replied, trying to be as guiltless as possible.
Her mother didn't seem to argue about anything, she was just worried about her daughter. She told someone to take Amelia to her room, and read the new book her father got her for.

As Amelia was reading, or in other words, learning how to read. She thought about her future, she didn't want to be like her mother when she's older, she doesn't want to be another King's wife. She wanted to be a warrior, with a real sword made of steel, and an armor made of titanium.
Unfortunately, they are dreams, they may or may not come true. But there's one thing that the little dreamer know, is that she will be the most generous princess that Drimmathia will ever have. And that gave her hope more than anything else in the world.
