Chapter 14

"Dad?" I said, happy, yet shocked.

I opened the door, giving him the gesture to come in.

"Sweetie, I came to talk to you." He said, sitting on the couch.

I stayed silent and sat on the chair next to the couch.

"Me and your mother think it would be a good time for you to move back home. With the baby, you'll need more support." He said, even though I knew he didn't mean it.

"But dad, I'm engaged now, I'm pregnant, and I have enough support here." I said, getting louder.

"Well, you don't really have a choice," He said, standing up.

"Yes I do, I'm eighteen, engaged, and pregnant. I'm as grown up as a teenager can get." I said, walking towards the door.

"Sweetie, I didn't ask." He said, getting closer to me.

I heard the door knob shake, then it opened, behind it was Dalton.

"Dalton!" I said, wrapping my arms around him.

"Babe? What's up?" He said, noticing my dad.

"We will talk about it once my dad leaves." I said, looking at him.

"Luci, I'm not leaving till you come home with me." He said, staring at me.

"Then you're gonna be on the streets for a long time, I'm not leaving Dalton, or his dad, I love you, but I love Dalton more." I said, getting closer to Dalton. "Plus I have Rachel's bridal shower soon anyways." I said, "just get out." I said, walking in my room. 

I closed my door and locked it, when I laid down, I closed my eyes.

A few minutes later I heard yelling.

"I'm taking her home with me! Who the hell do you think you are?" I heard my dad shout.

"Your daughter's fiance'! The man that treats her better than her own father! The one that is always there for her when you or your wife put her down! The one that has never laid a finger on her, the only b word I will ever call her is beautiful, now if you can't respect her and her decisions, then feel free to leave my house." I heard Dalton say confidently.

"Dalton, that was just the answer I was looking for." My dad said, getting calm.

I didn't hear anything after that, but I never heard the door open.

*Dalton's P.O.V*

When I said what I said, I never felt more like a man.

But the more I think about it, the more I think it was just a test.

"I got divorced, I hated how I've treated Luci in the past, but it was her mother who practically made me. I came here to make things right, but I want her home." He said to me.

But there was no way he was taking her and my baby away from me.

"Look sir, I get you want her home, but she is old enough now to make her own decisions. Now she doesn't need the bad energy, or stress, please leave." I said, as calmly as possible.

"I understand." He said, he started to walk to the door, looked at me for a minute, thenn ran towards Luci's room.

"Luci!" I shouted running after him.

He beat me there, he was banging on the door, until I tackled him to the ground.

"Luci, lock yourself in the bathroom!" I said, I heard the door shut.

"I'm sorry Dalton, I just love her so much." He said, brushing his shirt off.

"Get out." I said, standing up.

"Excuse me?" He said, now dusting off his pants.

"Get out, or I'm calling the cops." I said, stern faced.

"Fine," he said, he turned, towards me, his eyes giving me shivers. Before he walked away I saw his fist swing towards my face. 

I went to duck, but I was too slow, his fist quicklu connected with my face, knocking me down to the floor.

As I laid there, I heard his footsteps quickly scamper away.

*Luci's P.O.V*

I heard a crash, I quickly ran out to see what happened, when I looked down, I saw Dalton, laying there, heavily breathing.

"Dalton!" I shouted, sitting next to him.

He said nothing, he just stared at me, smiling.

"Babe?" I said.

"I love you." He whispered.

I was in to big of a shock to say anything.

I just sat there, staring at the door.
