Chapter Nine- The Jump

Jess's POV 

I looked down. I was over 100ft in the air,on a buliding....About to give up. There was police and medics. They put on a speaker. "Please come down from there safely!" A police said. "I wish I could...But I have to do this." I said. I began to go forward until a pair of arms pulled me into a hug. "Jess...." Ty said. "Get off me..." I said pushing away. "Ty I'm done...I-I can't do this anymore! I've be bullied,abused,sexually harassed,forgotten,and hated many times. Only once have I ever been loved. I'm done Ty...I'm sorry I broke our promise." I said. "Promise? Y-you mean?" He asked. "Yes that one." I said.

~Flashback~

I woke up only two weeks ago. Ty was with me as always. "Jess..." He asked and grabbed my hand. "Yes?" I asked. "Promise me you won't do this again? Or anything bad enough to kill you." He asked voice full of worry. "Ty....I promise." I sid and smiled. "Good now...Wanna play pokemon? I got my gameboy and I have your's right here." He said holding mine up. "How did you find it? Did you go through my stuff?" I said laughing and took it from him. "Maybe..." He said and burst out laughing.

~End of flashback~

"You remember it?" He asked. "Yes...I feel bad for breaking it....But I have to do this Ty. Please go down." I said. "Jess...I'm not letting you die...alone." He said. "What?" I asked. "If you are jumping I am too!" He said. "Ty you have people who care about you...I don't." I said. "Jessica Lisa Rice!" Ty yelled. "You know my full name?" I asked. "I had a talk with your dad but besides that! I care about you Jessica! I love you! I'm not letting you jump off this fucking building without me holding onto your hand!" He yelled. "Ty....I'm just a phase...You'll get over me. I'm just a freak. Someone who can't share her voice. Someone who can't speak without getting bullied! You can say anything and you won't get picked on for it! I get bullied for saying help! For saying sorry! For saying god damn anything!!!" I yelled. "Jessica...I love you. I will always love you. Not matter what you do or say. No matter how many times I get picked on for liking you....No loving you I will always love you." He said and hugging me tightly. 

I pushed him away. I was crying and so was he. "Ty...I don't want to leave you....But I need to. I need to stop fighting and give up. I've been fighting for over eight years. Over ten years. Almost since I was born I've been fighting. Against my mom,Casey,Chole, and more. I've been fighting. I'm tired of it Ty. I'm down right fucking tired of it! I need to stop this by giving up. I'm...S-sorry Ty. Please tell Mitch I'm sorry as well..." I said and stepped back. "Jessica!" He said trying to grab me to stop myself. But it was to late. 

I was falling for what seemed like hours. Everything was quiet. No sounds what so ever. I was cold. I knew even if they saved me I'd die from shock. I opened my eyes. I saw the windows passing quickly. "I'm sorry Ty..I love you too..." I said and took a deep breathe closing my eyes and waited for impact. "Boy don't jump! We don't need two people dying!" I heard. My eyes shot open. I saw Ty on the top on the egde. "Please don't do it Ty....I wouldn't be able to let myself get over it." I said and everything turned black. 

Ty's POV 

"I'm...S-sorry Ty. Please tell Mitch I'm sorry as well..." She said stepping back. She went over the egde. "Jessica!!!" I yelled trying to grab her. Too late....She was already falling. "No....My my....my Jessica....My love...the girl I love just jumped off the building. I was crying. I stepped very close to the egde. So I jump? I'll be with her right? Will it work? I saw her mouth something. "I'm sorry Ty....I love you too..." She said and closed her eyes. "Boy don't jump! We don't need two people dying!" Yelled the police. Jess's eyes shot open. "Please don't do it Ty....I-" I couldn't tell what else she was saying. Suddenly she hit the hard ground. 

The medics rushed over to her. I could tell she was broken...And dead. "J-Jessica....I made you a promise as well....I-I said I'd never leave you...And now I'm not going to..." I said and stepped off the buliding. Now I can be with my love....I hit the ground seconds later. Everything went black. 

I woke up and I saw Jess. "J-Jess!" I said. "Ty! I told you not to jump!!!" She said hugging me. "I promised you I'd be with you forever." I said hugging her back. "Ar-are we dead?" She asked. "I'm not sure." I answered. I looked around and saw no one.

"Ty I'm sorry I jumped. I love you..." She said and kissed me. I pulled her close. "Tyler Collins! Jessica Rice!" A loud booming voice said. That made us pull away and look around. I saw a man with long brown hair and he looked Greek. "W-who are you?" I asked. "Wait....." Jess said. "I'm an angel. I guard Jess and the ones she loves. I make sure everything is okay for her." He said. "Is that why I survive?" She asked. "Exactly." He answered. "So..." I asked. "So I am allowing you Tyler to choose whether or not you two go back to Earth and live a happy life protected by me." He said. "I-I don't know. Jess will you stay alive with me?" I asked grabbing a hold of her hand. "Yes...I mean like I can't die why try!" She said. "Alright! I allow you to go back!" He said and everything turned white.
