After hours of planning, they finally have a solid battle plan. Of course, it'll probably get shot to hell the moment Tyr comes raging in from his Bifrost portal but hey, they tried.

Jay yawns, more of a reflex than because she's tired. She's still incredibly wired from all of the events today. First an escape from Asgard, then a skydiving expedition, a lot of talking and a request she's not sure will be honored. She has no idea what Loki thinks about her request and if he will even honor it but she has to try. None of the other Avengers are capable of doing what she is going to ask of him.

The plan is simple really. Jay is bait. Steve argued for hours against it but eventually they swayed him. Come to the dark side, Steve, Tony had cackled but the reference had been lost on most people. Tony had promptly added Star Wars to Jay's growing movie list. Not that there was any time to watch any movies but she supposed the sentiment was there.

Jay would serve as a distraction, a way to lure Tyr to Midgard so he thinks she is unprotected. She would give a signal when Tyr made contact and the Avengers would spring an ambush and capture him. At the same time, The Widow and the Hawk would infiltrate Warren Biochemical and wreak havoc in the facility to distract Bradlich and possibly grab him if the situation allowed but their main objective was to distract him to keep Tyr's army lower in numbers. Steve had stipulated however that Jay would have to have someone with her and she had agreed with him but then stated with a deadpan seriousness that she wanted that person to be Loki.

Chaos, as always, had ensued.

"No, not in a millennium," Rogers had snarled at the same time Natasha gave her a critical look that said she thought Jay had finally lost her last loose screw.

"That's insanity, and coming from me, you know it has to be," Stark said.

"Actually it makes a great deal of sense," Thor had said. Loki had looked like he wanted to wrap his fingers around Thor's neck.

"Loki makes sense for two clear reasons," Thor says and Jay hides a triumphant smile. "First, he and Tyr have a very complicated past that would enrage the One-Handed. Second, Loki is the best match to Tyr in terms of magical abilities. He has the power to repel Tyr long enough for Jay to get a signal up. My self and the Captain and the Hulk are all a match for him physically but his magic is another matter."

Much more arguing had followed but eventually the decision was made. When the attack came, Jay would go with Loki and Thor and separate off. Loki would create a scene that left Thor in the dust and then make a show of grabbing Jay. Thor would recover off to the side and be close enough that he could intervene if things went south faster than planned.

"There's still the matter of trusting a trickster god," Bruce had brought up.

"You don't have to trust him," Jay says and is impressed with herself for not even glancing at Loki who is sure to have turned from glaring daggers at Thor to glaring swords at her. "Thor can deal with him anyways and this isn't a permanent alliance, only a move on the chessboard. Loki has no fondness for Tyr and although yes, he probably has some scheme cooked up to take us all out in our sleep, the fact of the matter right now is that Tyr is the larger threat," She looks at Loki with sharp eyes. "No offense, Horns."

"I guess it comes down to this: do we want two deranged magic-wielding gods running around or one?" Clint says with a smile at Jay. "I hate Loki more than anyone but I want Jay safe and Tyr gone. He's given us enough grief in the past weeks that I wouldn't mind seeing Horns put a magic bolt through his eye if I get to put an arrow through his other one."

It had been thus arranged that Loki was to be held with Thor in the tower, away from Jay and any important documents and information. Surprisingly, Loki hadn't put up a fight or asked for something in return for his cooperation. That made all of the Avengers edgy and Tony made sure that Jarvis was keeping a constant eye on everyone in the tower. Everyone knows the trickster will betray them; the question is when.
