I woke up with an aching pain in my head. Kitty was in her bed, and the academy wasn't destroyed. I flopped back on my bed, relieved that what had happened was just a dream. I checked the clock. 8:45. My first class for Friday doesn't start till 10 so I have some time on my hands. I looked out the window and saw the Outside Training Field. I felt a little weird, though. My head felt a little heavier, and my bottom felt uncomfortable. I lifted my hand to my head and felt soft fur between my brown hair. I ran out the dorm and to the bathroom. On the way, I tripped over something. A pain shot through my spine. I looked down to see a grey tail attached to my back. I felt my new long tail. I slowly walked to the bathroom and walked in. I stared at the mirror, mesmerized by my new complexion. I rubbed my grey cat ears. I let out a small purr. I covered my mouth. I rubbed my ears again. The more I rubbed, the more I purred. I walked back to my dorm and curled up on my pillow. I found my Yo-yo sitting on my bed. Weird, I could've sworn I left it on my drawer. My cat instincts kicked in and I sprung up when I heard a noise. It was Professor X. When he looked up at me, I jumped under the covers.
"Sorry Professor X," I said from under, "I know you support mutant powers, but I don't want you to see me like this."
"But Z, I've already seen you like that."
I peeked my head out. "You have?"
"Yes. Last night..."
When Professor X was done telling me what happened last night, I was on the verge to tears.
"I'm so sorry. What I saw was nothing like what you saw. You see, in my head, the academy was under attack, and then attack was directed towards me."
I stared at my sharp cat-like claws. I was so tempted to claw at the bed, but I managed to keep my ' human ' part with me.
"So, what you're saying is that I have telepathic powers also?"
Professor X shook his head yes.
"Kay. Bye."
He left my dorm. Once he turned the corner, I went to a dorm that inhabits another person with a tail. Nightcrawler.
