when things got rough

exactly...

you were there yes
but you didn't stay long
three months went by
three months we were fine
that final month
you changed your heart
you loved me before
do you love me now?
our life wasn't perfect
but we had it good..
you left
i might not get you back
but I do love you
i might give up now
so that it makes you happier
but technically you already did
and I'm just clinging to a memory
were you even that tho?
