Chapter 8- Flashbacks (part 1)

  After long weeks of agony there will be a full moon tonight, I'll be able to search deep within her mind and find all the information i need, first i must wait until tonight. At midnight i will resolve this puzzle, all the questions i had, all the secrets. I would have prefered finding out all of these in a non-violent manner, for the first time, I do not enjoy torturing someone. I need to dismember her body one last time. After detaching her body parts again I grab a chair, a glass and a bottle of blood and sit in front of her bleeding body, patiently waiting the full moon. She only stares at me.

  Why did it have to be this way? Everything was alright before. I was beginning to enjoy her company, I was beginning to question myself, do I really want to do this to her? I don't feel any amusement because it is her. I feel a sort of pain in my stomach, must be guilt. The hours passed by as the day became darker and darker, the sun was finally setting, I've emptied 7 bottles of blood while waiting.

  Just a few more minutes until midnight, I stand beside the table looking down on her, she knew what I was going to do to her next, she only shook her head horizontally and whispered: "don't do it..." but Im obligated by the circumstances. I must find the reasons why.

  I placed my hand on her forehead and closed my eyes, normally with her strong will she could have denied my entry but because of the weeks of torment and pain she is broken beyond repair. A white light, the passage from one's minds to another, in here I could see everything that she's ever seen, feel everything that she's ever felt and remember everything that she's ever witnessed. I can only spend a limited amount of time here so I must focus on the main reason im here, to find out why would she try to kill me. When I'm here I will see everything through Raven's eyes, I can't change anything, I can only observe.

*Raven's perspective*

Today I witnessed something incredible as I walked through the woods, a corpse rising from its grave! It seemed to struggled even to stand up. It was easy to follow since it could barely walk, it was weak and pale. I followed it all the way to the city and there I saw it eat a cat that just got hit by a car! Kind of gross but interesting nonetheless. But things turned more interesting when it attacked a police officer and ripped off his arm woth his bare hands and managed to carry the body in its condition. I traced him carrying the corpse to an abandoned building but didn't see it come out again that night. Well that's enough for today, better get back home to my lord. I went back to the woods, the usual spot for me to go back home, A flame spins around my body and that slowly sends me to my home.

-"Welcome to hell! What are you in for?"

-"haha very funny dad..."

-"what? This IS hell after all"

-"Yeah but you dont need to remind me that everytime I get here..."

-"Well you better get used to it because one day this will be yours."

-" Dad I told you that I have no interest in becoming the next "Satan", I'm fine being me."

-"Well who will take my place when I can't rule? Unless..."

-"Unless what?"

-"Unless you have a child"

-"...No dad, just no..."

-" it's your duty as the princess of hell! There must be someone to take my place when I'm gone!"

-"Gone where? You're immortal dad..."

-"You see Raven, I do live forever, but my powers only last so long. Every few thousand years a new demon must be chosen to sit on the throne of hell."

-"But I don't want to become a queen."

-"One day you will meet another demon, a prince, and rule over hell. Like I did with your mother all those years..."

-"Dad..."

-" It's alright Raven..."

Dad doesn't like to talk about what happened to mom, it happened when I was very little. He says I got my mothers eyes. I don't remember what she looks like though he says I look identical to her. Maybe one day I will see her again, I sure hope so.

I'm tired from walking around the city so much. I should get some rest, maybe tomorrow I'll see what my friend from the grave is doing.

*the next day*

Lets see, where's our little friend. I patiently wait outside the building i saw him enter with the body yesterday. But the only thing I saw was a well dressed man exit the building, not the creepy zombie from yesterday. I enter the house only to discover the remains of the policeman that had been completely drained from its blood and some parts of the body had teeth marks on them. So it was a vampire not a zombie! Makes sense now. So that means that man that left the house a few minutes ago was the vampire from last night, looks so different from yesterday though. Let's see what he's up to, I tracked him down, he was looking at the news from a tv on window display. I wonder where he got that outfit. Ha? Why is he looking at everyone like that? Is he crazy? He's coming this way! He saw me!

Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck! Why the hell is he running after me? I haven't done anything! This lunatic is going to kill me! I ran and ran, he's catching up to me, it's raining! I can use the rain to escape. Just before he catched me I used the rain to hide from view, it causes an illusion that seems as if you melted away but in reality you turn to some sort of spirit form for a short time, I better thank mom for that power. I went into hiding behind building near by but I could still see that vampire, he looks pissed, better not get near him.

What's this? Oh ho ho no way. This vampires getting it on with that girl over there, hey buddy I do that for a living, literally. Hey where are they going?

I followed them back to the old building where he lives but I shouldn't get near the place, he would kill me for sure if I interrupted this for him.
